What you'll do:

Working on the Product Development team in the Professional Services group at HMH, the Lead Instructional Designer will be responsible for the following primary duties: researching, designing, and developing professional learning content and experiences for K-12 educators in multiple modalities, including in-person and online facilitator-led sessions and asynchronous modules. This person is responsible for collaborating with product teams and analyzing customer feedback to draft requirements and design professional learning with a strong product-market fit that meets identified learning outcomes to support teachers, with a primary focus on coaching and mathematics. This person must be highly adept at quickly building knowledge and expertise around K-12 curricula, platforms, and instructional practices, as well as working collaboratively in scrum teams to design learning experiences that maximize interactivity and engagement in an online or in-person environment. The Lead Instructional Designer will also periodically facilitate live sessions in order to prototype the experiences developed and document how they are received, and any adjustments or modifications needed.

What you'll need:
• Minimum 5 year(s)of experience: in product/services development or instructional design or curriculum development focused on K-12 education.
• Bachelor's degree
• Teaching experience, preferably in math
• Knowledge of current trends, research, competitive products, and instructional focus areas in K-12 education and professional learning
• Strong project planning and operational skills (e.g. proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google apps)

What You’ll Do

The Intervention Area Sales Director is accountable for achieving sales and profit objectives for the assigned territory through hiring, training, developing and directing employees within the area.

Job Responsibilities
• Achieve assigned territory quota in intervention and services associated with intervention lines of business. Collaborate with managers within each line of business including K-12 Core, Intervention, Supplemental, Services and Assessment.
• Manage and develop the sales pipeline to achieve or exceed quota targets. Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts to senior leadership by leveraging best practices for pipeline management, including Salesforce Optimization.
• Develop a strategic/marketing plan for assigned territory based on market data, upcoming adoption information for the school year, needs of the customer, use of the targeting tool and application of HMH Insights to meet assigned quota. Adjust plans as needed. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders throughout the region to stay abreast of districts needs and purchasing cycles.
• Partner with Account Executives to create effective sales strategies/action plans.
• Manage the activities of the sales team. Conduct objective setting, midpoint and annual appraisal for Account Executives. Observe individual account executives in the field by attending sales calls and presentations. Responsible for attracting, developing, coaching, motivating, empowering and retaining sales professionals. Conduct regular team meetings and 1:1 sessions
• Model/Demonstrate/Present HMH Insights data and academic planning conversations internally and externally (customer facing)
• Manage and stay within territory budgets. Approve Account Executive’s expense reports.
• Promote a collaborative relationship between sales and internal teams (including curriculum support group, marketing, product management, services, renewals, and customer success).

Requirements
• This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s desirable)
• 7-10 years sales experience with a proven track record in meeting quota. 3-5 years management experience preferred. Educational sales experience and teaching skills are desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office and Sales Management Software
• Acceptable driving record required
• Success in specifically intervention sales preferred

Benefits And Salary Range

Salary Range - $100,000. to $110,000. Our salary ranges are based on national averages. We have wide ranges so we can be flexible and determine compensation based on a number of factors including the candidate ’ s skills, experience, education, and location.
