WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU WILL:
• Own and oversee HotelTonight’s global public relations program
• Manage a team of two
• Oversee consumer media relations programs of evergreen, seasonal and timely announcements and media campaigns
• Oversee integrated social media campaigns and customer engagement through social media
WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU WILL:
• Identify and pitch relevant stories to a broad range of media - including consumer, business, tech, and trade press as well as social influencers
• Hire and manage external PR resources

As a Social Media Coordinator, you are a highly creative and talented social media specialist with a passion for creating... digital content that resonates. The Social Media Coordinator will develop content and build engagement on HotelTonight’s social media channels, working closely with other members of the marketing organization to achieve shared goals. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Social Media.

WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU WILL:
• Create social media content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
• Track and execute contracts and requests for influencer and journalist partnerships
• Monitor social media and industry landscape for current content trends and opportunities
• Review competitive landscape and provide regular readouts on industry/competitor trends
WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU WILL:
• Develop and implement a plan to increase HotelTonight’s engagement across all social media channels
• Assist in building an ongoing editorial calendar and process for reviewing and tracking internal content requests
• Establish and manage a repository for social media photos and videos, including HotelTonight original content, influencer content and user-generated content
• Track monthly engagement and other KPIs on all social channels, using data to inform ongoing content strategy
• Monitor online conversations on social media channels and partner with CX team to respond to user comments and questions
WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU WILL:
• Collaborate with Public Relations, Creative, CRM and User Acquisition teams to develop social-first campaigns connected to broader marketing/communication goals
• Evaluate additional channels and opportunities where HotelTonight may expand its social media presence
• Assist with influencer campaign management, including ideation, budgeting and reporting
• Serve as an internal evangelist and resource for employees on social media content and best practices
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
• 1 - 2 years of social media marketing or related experience
• Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
• Ability to understand HotelTonight’s unique brand voice and extend this understanding through our social media content
• Experience with photography and photo editing programs (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom) a plus
• Experience managing multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to think nimbly and creatively, and to come up with out-of-the-box solutions
• Ability and willingness to travel for social media content opportunities
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to adapt to change
• Passion for all things travel and hospitality

As one of the first Data Scientists on the Data & Strategy team, you will drive business decisions across the company using data and be responsible for implementing and fostering an environment that thrives on advanced analysis. You'll work closely with teams across Marketing, Supply and Finance on projects around customer segmentation, forecasting user quality and forecasting business performance - just to name a few!

WITHIN 30 DAYS, YOU WILL:
• Become familiar with our datasets and the analysis tools that we work with
• Learn about the business and the problems (short-term and long-term) that we face
• Start to fill holes in our analysis platform and identify the areas of our business that are most important to focus on
WITHIN 60 DAYS, YOU WILL:
• Deliver your first detailed analysis, which includes a strategic plan for how to act upon your findings
• Improve the team’s access to advanced analysis tools and begin teaching them how to most effectively use them
• Increase your knowledge of the business and the teams involved, and prioritize the most impactful projects
WITHIN 90 DAYS, YOU WILL:
• Establish a roadmap for advanced analysis projects for the next few months
• Implement your first strategic initiatives and begin measuring the impact on key metrics associated with the initiative
• Empower the rest of the team to apply advanced analysis to their own projects using your analysis tools
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
• Professional experience using advanced analysis to guide strategic decisions at the company level
• You know how to use the right tool for the job, whether that's a programming language (like R or Python) or just plain old SQL
• Experience working with statistics and supervised/unsupervised models
• Communication: you love to talk about your work and findings, and can clearly explain the details
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Apache Spark, Tensorflow, etc
• Ability to move quickly by making smart assumptions
• Experience working with e-commerce marketplaces is a big plus
• A love for travel, especially the hotel part!

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
• (2+) experience managing the full-life cycle recruiting process (either in-house or agency)
• Experience leveraging passive recruiting sources
• A high level of ownership, confidentiality and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Psychology, Communication or equivalent
• Passion for analytical approaches to pipeline challenges with a drive with a history of using data to see what’s going wrong, (and what’s going right)
