The HBEU French Desk role, is responsible for delivering the group strategy to open up a world of opportunity for our customers by connecting France to the UK and vice versa.

Manage, develop and grow the French ISB portfolio in the UK, contribute to the strategy of HSBC being the Leading International Bank and support HSBC external marketing and internal events relating to France and international.
Lead cross border initiatives to jointly promote France and the UK to our markets in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, as part of our One Europe HSBC proposition.
Contribute to maximize revenues, RORWA and Customer value.
P&L
• Contribute directly to targets for growth, sales and service, credit & quality etc by building momentum in the Portfolio.
• This will be achieved by focusing on (1) Building momentum with existing Client Portfolio and (2) By onboarding new French clients in ISB network subject to the ISB Target market definition.
• Responsible for all French TOI from France to HBEU ISB network.
• Assist and support in-country ISB RM's from our ISB network and French GRMs from France to drive TOI with a double digit growth target.
• First point of contact for French GRMs to discuss international opportunities related to the UK - Focus on existing + new to bank clients.
• Regular contact with HBEU ISB Teams to assist in execution of deals and day to day operations.
• Maintain regular contact with HBCE France and ensure they maintain a focus on French names and deliver proper local execution of deals.
Strategy
• Formulate and execute Group strategic plan and targets.
• Ensure good implementation of full relationship management strategy on the portfolio of core relationships.
• Identify ways to grow the subsidiary relationships and engage initiatives that will maintain a strong level of activity and leads generation.
• Keep abreast of external factors influencing international business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to a dynamic client planning exercise.
• Ensure mapping of unbanked Subsidiaries is always correctly updated and recorded in available tools to maintain a strong prospection effort.
• Identify and remain connected to potential or existing partners that share HSBC's values in promoting international to French Corporates (Business France, Bpifrance, Medef International, Lawyers, governmental agencies in France and abroad…).
• Promote HSBC's ambition to support companies green transition and pursue the green corridor initiative in collaboration with sustainability teams.
Cross Sell
• Actively cross sell a wide variety of commercial banking products and products of other functions within the HSBC Group.
• Drive balanced product revenues across C&L / GM / GLCM / Trade
-Enhance Cross Sell Ratio in the portfolio thanks to strong collaboration.
Prospecting
• Work with the Regional and local Heads of Business Development, GRMs, Heads of Segments and Corporate Centres in identifying potential business opportunities in the existing portfolio as well as identifying new prospects and advise GRMs and other stakeholders, i.e. product partners.
• Generate cross country referrals facilitated via Global Links and local or overseas International Banking Centre (IBC), whichever is appropriate
• Generate referrals for other Global Businesses, e.g. Private Banking (PB), Global Banking & Markets (GBM), Global Trade & Receivables Finance (GTRF), Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM), Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM), as appropriate
Marketing

For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $230,000 and $250,000.
