The People Engagement Manager will be part of the US Commercial Banking People Excellence team. The People Excellence team supports the Head of US CMB in leading cross-business initiatives that drive a high performing culture in US CMB. The role holder will require the capability to read and apply regulatory obligations and transform them into business requirements as well as ensuring existing reporting systems and processes are meeting those obligations.
Successful candidates include those with backgrounds in OTC Derivatives Trade & Transaction Reporting, Compliance, Control and Data Analysis/Scientist backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
• Monitor and review reporting exceptions (daily, weekly & monthly) to provide analysis and spot potential underlying issues.
• Correct and repair reporting exceptions where applicable via both automated systematic tools and manual reporting.
• Review Quality Assurance Test (partial tests require manual execution) result to evidence reporting completeness and accuracy and capture potential reporting gaps and issues.

• Responsible for managing the delivery of changes driven by IT, operational and regulatory-related updates to ensure the firm remains in compliance with relevant trade and transaction reporting regulatory requirements.
• Prepare management information pack and chair monthly governance meeting with senior stakeholders (including Trading, Sales, Compliance, Technology and Operations) to facilitate discussion around critical items require management attention, such as key reporting issues, instance, regulatory fines and upcoming regulatory changes.
• Ensure the firm remains a prominent member of the market by representing HSBC Operations at external forums related to relevant initiatives (for example, ISDA working groups); Collecting internal views and opinions and communicating them to the market while documenting and distributing results and decisions to key internal stakeholders.
• Work with Operations Regulatory Project Managers responsible for other global regulation (EMIR, HKMA, etc.), as appropriate, to ensure global compliance and process consistency where possible.

Markets Operations is responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post execution. Its global teams manage settlement activity, risk and control, while ensuring the delivery of regulatory compliance and seamless operational client service across 60 countries.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
The role is responsible to provide day to day operational/ middle office supports to Prime Finance/Delta One Trading business with particular focus on control of trade capture completeness and correctness. The team would also be the onshore point of contact and provide necessary guidance to the various offshore functions e.g. Confirmation, Settlement, Reconciliation etc.
• Manage the operation/ middle office processes for PF/D1 products traded in multiple balance sheet
• Minimize operational risks and errors
• Drive strategic and tactical IT solutions
• Comply with SOX requirements - prompt detection of breaks in reconciliation
• Facilitate the implementation of regional hub and proximity model

• 5 years+ experiences in an investment banking environment, preferably middle office, or trade
• processing role
• Knowledge in PF/D1 products and the trade life cycles
• Fluent English language skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to pick up complex system architecture easily
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, VBA knowledge is an advantage
Required personal attributes:
• Good team player with strong inter-personal and communication skills
• Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Strong sense of ownership of tasks and actions to resolve problems
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease
• Possess a change mind-set and open to new ideas
• Ability to work under pressure
