This is a non-continuous, grant funded position. The initial appointment will end on 6-30-2023, the end of the current grant year. Appointment renewal for the following grant year will be based upon available grant funding and performance. This is typically a part time position ranging from 50% to 100% depending on the needs of the Academy.
Required Qualifications
1. Master's Degree in Social Work.
2. 10+ years of professional experience working with vulnerable student populations, preferably older youth/ teens and foster youth.
3. Knowledge of and experience with First Star Academy
4. Experience developing education and life skills curriculum.
5. Demonstrated leadership and management skills and skills in setting priorities that accurately reflect relative importance of job responsibilities.
6. Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with executive leaders, faculty, staff, student, caregivers and community members.
7. Ability to work with a diverse population including communicating with people from diverse culture and ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic, educational levels. Also, effective in communication in individual or large group settings, as well as from subordinate staff to senior and executive level administrators.
8. Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
9. Willingness to work weekends and evenings.

This is a non-continuous, grant funded position. The initial appointment will end on 6-30-2023, the end of the current grant year. Appointment renewal for the following grant year will be based upon available grant funding and performance. This is typically a part time position ranging from 50% to 100% depending on the needs of the Academy.
Required Qualifications
1. Master's Degree in Social Work.
2. 10+ years of professional experience working with vulnerable student populations, preferably older youth/ teens and foster youth.
3. Knowledge of and experience with First Star Academy
4. Experience developing education and life skills curriculum.
5. Demonstrated leadership and management skills and skills in setting priorities that accurately reflect relative importance of job responsibilities.
6. Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with executive leaders, faculty, staff, student, caregivers and community members.
7. Ability to work with a diverse population including communicating with people from diverse culture and ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic, educational levels. Also, effective in communication in individual or large group settings, as well as from subordinate staff to senior and executive level administrators.
8. Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
9. Willingness to work weekends and evenings.

Typically an office setting. Hours as assigned and may vary depending on the needs of the Academy.

• Provide technical analysis around how we use and should adopt and/or modify various functionalities of assigned applications.
• Perform technical support & incident management leveraging vendor support contracts providing subject-matter expertise on application best practices.

Technology Solutions provides information technology products and services for the administrative and business functions of Illinois State University. Through our Technology Support Center and our highly trained staff, Technology Solutions looks to improve the campus experience for all students, faculty, staff, and the rest of the campus community.
The Application Services (APPS) team develops, administers, and delivers quality application services to the University. They work on enterprise and business applications, such as PeopleSoft, ReggieNet, and others.

Required Qualifications
• Any one of the following:
a. Associate’s degree in Information Technology, IT Management, Business Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related discipline conferred prior to position start date and 12 months of work experience in IT systems
b. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, IT Management, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related discipline conferred prior to position start date
c. 24 months of hands-on work experience in IT systems
• Experience supporting enterprise or higher education software tools for HR, Payroll, Student Information Management, or Finance (such as PeopleSoft HCM and Campus Solutions)
• Experience gathering business requirements, writing use cases, facilitating meetings, documenting notes, creating deliverables, and establishing healthy business relationships
• Knowledge of Source Control, Defect Management, and Incident Management Software Tools
• Strong customer service skills along with a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process, and product quality and reliability
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to conduct internal and external meetings
• Ability to:
a. work independently and in a team environment with good communication and collaboration skills
b. work with considerable latitude and independence of action.
c. clearly communicate complex technical concepts verbally and in writing to management, technical staff, and customers in terms appropriate for each audience

• Understanding of relational database concepts, queries (SQL), and ability to use 1 or more common query/reporting tools (SQL Developer, TOAD, Cognos, SSRS, Crystal Reports)
• Foundation qualification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor's or more advanced degree in Technical or relatable field
• Two or more years of work experience in PeopleSoft Technical Role working with PeopleSoft App Designer, PeopleCode, SQRs, Application Engines, Workflows, Component Interfaces, Data Mover Scripts, Portal in PeopleSoft HCM, Campus Solutions with PeopleTools 8.53 or higher
• Two or more years of work experience designing, creating, building, testing, troubleshooting PeopleSoft delivered, modified and add on programs
• Strong project, analysis, and research skills
• Experience in software testing including creating test plans, creating test cases, test execution, and documenting defects
• Experience collecting technical requirements and designing appropriate process and/or software solutions
• Experience in developing and debugging Software
• Experience in higher education administrative systems
• Experience in Modeling Techniques: UML (Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Usability)
Work Hours
Core Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday; occasional weekend and evening hours as business needs dictate

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions.
