Job Duties

Troubleshoot and repair computers. Provide in-depth research into software and hardware issues. Provide training to faculty, staff, and students. Document issues, write tutorials, and monitor workflows.

Individuals in this position will have obtained or be actively involved in obtaining, a certification such as CompTIA A+, or similar.

Expectations include a productive research agenda resulting in quality journal publications, teaching excellence at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and service to the university, business, and/or professional communities. Indiana State University is seeking well-qualified, collaborative, and diverse faculty to join our team in the Department of Social Work. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to be an effective teacher and a contributor to community engagement. Our Department is growing quickly with increasing diversity in our student body, and we have a special interest in adding diversity to the faculty.

Responsibilities

This is a 10-month regular full-time faculty appointment with candidates eligible for non-tenure track rank of Instructor. Faculty will have primary appointment to the MSW program but will have opportunity to teach both BSW and MSW courses. The MSW program has a focus on rural social work clinical practice. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, mentoring, and service that supports the focus of the Department and the College. Leadership opportunities associated with the position include BSW Field Coordinator or Title IV-E Program Coordinator.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program; two years post-MSW experience is required along with eligibility for social work licensure in Indiana.

Preferred Qualifications:

We are looking for faculty with experience in direct micro social work practice; specialized knowledge of field education, child welfare practice, or rural practice is a benefit. Experience as a College/University educator in both the classroom and online is preferred.
