Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Service Manager. As a Service Manager, you will manage the servicing of company and customer equipment in a timely and effective manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages the repair and maintenance of company owned and customer equipment to include the organization of yard (Ready to Rent, Returned, Down)
• Prepares work schedules and handles service calls to meet customer needs and assure that equipment is available as required.
• Orders parts in order to maintain adequate supplies.
• Provides training and assistance to staff mechanics.
• Works with equipment vendors to learn the maintenance requirements and capabilities of new equipment added to inventory.
• Evaluates all equipment after repairs, maintenance or safety checks.
• Documents equipment status before and after rental.
• Handles customer complaints regarding equipment condition or operation.
• Promote safety awareness
• Perform quality control checks
• Update, maintain and keep organized equipment service records
• Create, update, close and bill work orders
• File warranty claims in a timely fashion
• Commission New Equipment
• Order parts, return parts, and perform parts inventory
• Disposal of Solid and Hazardous Material Waste (Batteries, used oil & filters, antifreeze, wash sludge)
• Reporting to include: - Equipment due for service - Fleet status Reporting - Equipment Service Record Reporting - Open work order report - Warranty claim summary report - Inventory management - Parts & merchandise detail reporting - Financial and historical trending - Service department financial summary - Shop foreman performance tool - Work order chargeback - Halt report - Open PO report - Tech paid hours vs. worked hour report
• Perform other duties assigned as assigned by the manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Valid driver’s license
• Extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of self-propelled platforms and lifts
• Knowledge of work planning and scheduling and other supervisory activities
• Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.
• Clear perspective of maintenance and repair issues in the industry
• Planning and management experience
• Computer literacy
• Reporting experience
• Inventory management experience

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a motivated and leadership-oriented individual to join the Power/Control Systems (PCS) team as a Principal Manufacturing Engineer at our Sykesville, MD facility. Our Manufacturing Team is a leading innovator, developer, manufacturer, integrator, and supporter of a variety of advanced electronics for national security and non-defense applications.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate and work with a variety of internal personnel from manufacturing, test engineering, and design engineering. He/she should also be self-directed, organized, and team oriented.

The Principal Manufacturing Engineer has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, the tasks outlined below:
Process Development:
• Developing new and maintaining, or improving, existing manufacturing processes with a focus on affordability
• Leading Manufacturing Readiness Review for new designs efforts to ensure that production can begin in accordance with the overall manufacturing plan
• Providing ROI justification for process improvements
• Creating and managing project plans (tasks, resources and schedules) for process development activities
• Creating and documenting designs for custom tooling using CAD and PLM Software
• Specifying, identifying and procuring new manufacturing equipment for production readiness and preparing equipment for production using Process Readiness Reviews
• Developing and optimizing process parameters
• Developing/revising process documentation and work instructions
Factory Support:
• Monitoring process yields and cost in order to recommend and implement improvements to drive improved metrics
• Solving of manufacturing problems (related to materials, designs, equipment and tooling, training and instructions) to support production
• Assisting with the training of new personnel and participation in the design of operations training materials
• Supporting factory maintenance personnel with the troubleshooting and repair of process equipment
Design and Engineering Support:
• Recommending product design improvements required to produce advanced electro-mechanical assemblies
• Documenting novel process capabilities and guidelines for product designers
• Participating in design readiness and producibility reviews for new products
Miscellaneous:
• Providing supplier support, as needed, to resolve issues within supply base
• Providing Request for Proposal (RFP) input specifically as it relates to Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) requirements such as tooling, capital equipment and/or new process development
MANUMS

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Manufacturing Engineer:
• Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) and at least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Production, or related area - OR - a Master's degree in a STEM area and 3+ years of experience in the same areas. Candidates with a HS diploma and 9+ years in Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Production, or related area or an Associates degree and 7+ years in Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Production, or related area will also be considered.
• Must have fluency in MS Office software applications
• Experience in a manufacturing environment in an engineering support role
• Proficient with developing new processes in a cross-functional team
• 3D Solid Modeling experience using a CAD software
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with J-STD and MIL-STD requirements
• 3D modeling experience in Unigraphics/NX
• 3D modeling experience with assembly tooling, concept development, and tool creation
• Experience with naval systems/products/programs
• Experience with Siemens PLM and SAP MES software
• Experience with rapid prototyping in an ESD Sensitive environment
• Automation experience
Salary Range: $93,000 - $139,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Primary Responsibilities
• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
• Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably
• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred)
• Field Mechanic: When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
• Year-round company provided OEM training
• Other duties, assigned as needed

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Must own tools applicable to position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

Education and Experience:
• High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to move, stand, stoop and been freely
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
