The Job You Will Perform:
• Makes ready, assists operator in maintaining corrugated manufacturing press machine in which you are assigned. (rotary die cutters, flexo folder gluers, labeler and folder gluer machinery)
• Observes and monitors machine operations to aid in detecting malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
• Feeding, catching and stacking corrugated sheets at machine feed and stacking stations.
• Assisting operator in order setups including setting heads, mounting of print plates and dies, maintaining safety, quality and required housekeeping standards.
• Ensures all orders are completed to specifications including “special instructions” if applicable.
• Other duties as assigned by managers and or supervisors/shift leader which may include parts and hand assembly.

The Skills You Will Bring:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Trade School and/or advanced degree preferred.
• Two years or more experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. (corrugated manufacturing is a plus).
• Ability to problem solve with minimal assistance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Basic computer skills (data entry, etc) and be able to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtractions, multiplications, division and use of a tape measure.
• Comply with all IPs Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times.

• Ability to understand/learn all operations of corrugated manufacturing.

• Participate in CVA Audits to evaluate and recommend MPS related issues that could reduce customer’s packaging cost and improve margin for IP
• Keep informed of current developments in MPS technology through interaction with manufactures’ representatives and plant visits
• Utilize the MPS Project Log System to track value to customers and IP by accurate record keeping and visit reports
• Manage travel and operating expenses in a reasonable and prudent manner consistent with department budget guidelines and IP standard operating procedures

• BS degree and/or equivalent work/business experience is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of industry mechanical maintenance experience is required

Hourly Full-Time 2nd or 3rd with some Saturdays

The Job You Will Perform:
• Set up the machine according to machine specific procedures.
• Make necessary adjustments during set up and run to ensure quality work
• Successful candidates will be required to learn the duties of assistant and/or machine operator and be prepared to promote to the next position level when a vacancy becomes available
• Monitor quality throughout the production run
• Complete the box Quality check required on each order
• Follow all Lock out and Try procedures
• Enter production data into computer
• Keep machine from jam ups
• Counting and stacking finished product
• Report significant and major mechanical failure to department supervisor immediately.
• Work at a fast pace. Machinery can run up to speeds of 360 pieces per minute
• Work in close proximity to electrical, hydraulic and mechanical energy sources.
• Ensure correct unit configuration per customer requirements.
• Clean up housekeeping procedures such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, and picking up and shredding miscellaneous scrap.
• Work overtime and weekends as required
• Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, etc.
• Read a tape measure up to 1/16
• High school diploma or state registered GED preferred
