2. Review and prioritize all complaints received; determine, based on severity of the complaint, which will be routed directly to the board, which can be addressed through subpoena, and which require investigation.
3. Enters and maintains all investigative files in AMANDA and regularly monitors the status of all outstanding complaints.
4. Sends necessary correspondence to patients and licensees.
5. Updates investigative files as additional information becomes available.
6. Provides direction and planning assistance to the Health Professions Investigator to coordinate all investigations.
7. Provides complaint information and background information to the Board's Health Professions Investigator.

9. Corresponds with complainant and licensee relative to status of investigations.
10. Secures further investigative information upon request from complainant, peer reviewer or licensee or Board.

21. Analyze complaint and disciplinary data; make recommendations to the executive director regarding rulemaking and internal process and procedure.
22. Draft administrative rules, relative to the complaint and investigative process.
23. Consults with licensing/registration staff when licensees report criminal history or other information that might require an investigation.
24. Interviews members of the public and licensees as needed.
COORDINATION OF BOARD MEETINGS AND HEARINGS
1. Ensures that all complaints and investigative materials are appropriately compiled and organized for Board member review.
2. Composes closed session agenda for Board meetings and Hygiene Committee.
3. Attends Board meetings, Hygiene Committee meetings and Teleconference calls.
4. Takes open and closed session minutes for Board meetings, Hygiene Committee meetings and Teleconference calls.
5. Prepares formal open and closed session minutes for Board approval and mails to all Board members.
6. Coordinates the hearing process between those involved including members of the Board, Investigator, the Attorney General's Office, Consultants and Peer Reviewers.
7. Prepares legal documents, correspondence pertinent to Notices of Hearing, Statements of Charges, Notices of Pre-Hearing Conferences, Scheduling Orders, Stipulation and Consent Orders, Orders for Continuance and Summary Suspensions.
8. Forwards all disciplinary action to parties requesting this information, such as insurance companies, other state agencies, National Practitioner Data Bank, etc.
9. Oversees the compilation of information, including patient records, radiographs, etc. for Board review at board meetings.
10. Conduct research on previous board actions; provide the Executive Director and Board with historical context during closed sessions.
11. Provide quarterly reports to the Executive Director as requested regarding complaint data and trends.
12. Prepares investigative file for hearing.
13. Write letters of warning and letters of information at the Board's request.
MALPRACTICE MONITORING
1. Responsible for transmitting final Decisions and Orders of the Board to the press and National Practitioners Data Bank conforming and implementing laws concerning such dissemination.
2. Forwards all disciplinary action to parties requesting this information, such as insurance companies, other state agencies, National Practitioner Data Bank, etc.
3. Monitors malpractice complaints received by the Board office.
Forwards all necessary correspondence to patients and licensees involved.

Job Description

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Department of Human Services (DHS) merged on July 1, 2022, to form one agency, the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). We are seeking a Reproductive Health Section Supervisor (Public Service Manager 1).
This position serves as the Reproductive Health Section Supervisor within the Bureau of Family Health and is responsible for supervisory and managerial aspects of the section. Management responsibilities include but is not limited to priority setting, cross division and agency coordination, resource and budget oversight, and representing the section during meetings partner organizations. Policy setting responsibilities include but is not limited to advising the bureau chief on policy recommendations and implementation, representing the bureau during legislative session in partnership with the agency legislative liaison, carrying out effective implementation of administrative rules that are needed to implement section programs. Supervision responsibilities include supervising 11 direct reports through recruitment, hiring, training, performance evaluations, promotions, dismissals, time reporting, discipline, etc. - in compliance with all policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
1) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university and experience equal to four years of full-time work in program administration, development, management, or operations.
2) Eight years of full-time work experience in program administration, development, management, or operations.
3) All of the following (a and b):
a. Four years of full-time work experience work in program administration, development, management, or operations; and
b. A combination of a total of four years of education and full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work in any field equals one year of full-time experience. Graduation from the Iowa Certified Public Manager Program is also equivalent to one year of full-time experience or education.

The Education Program Consultant (MTSS and Analysis) will be an integral member of the School Improvement Bureau, providing technical assistance, monitoring and support to area education agencies (AEAs) and local education agencies (LEAs) on the use of data and reports generated by Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) data.
Your Responsibilities:
• Assists with system integration, data governance and project management across systems: Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF), Student Reporting in Iowa (SRI), student locator framework (SLF), etc. SIF and Student Success support, management and troubleshooting.
• Develops and provides training and technical assistance to area education agency (AEA) and local education agency (LEA) personnel on the use of data and reports generated by the statewide Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) data system to inform decisions about instructions, allocation of resources, fidelity of implementation, and educator supports.
• Informs the development and delivery of training and technical assistance for MTSS and school improvement by using the existing evidence base and maintaining knowledge of emerging evidence in education.
• Coordinates with AEA and LEA stakeholders to analyze and report on Healthy Indicators of pre-kindergarten through secondary school systems. Provides evaluation of educational performance at the state, AEA, LEA, and school levels.
• Provides expertise to the Division of Learning and Results and colleagues in the field in the areas of data analysis and reporting/requests, assessment and MTSS.

The Education Program Consultant (MTSS and Analysis) will be an integral member of the School Improvement Bureau, providing technical assistance, monitoring and support to area education agencies (AEAs) and local education agencies (LEAs) on the use of data and reports generated by Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) data.
Your Responsibilities:
• Assists with system integration, data governance and project management across systems: Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF), Student Reporting in Iowa (SRI), student locator framework (SLF), etc. SIF and Student Success support, management and troubleshooting.
• Develops and provides training and technical assistance to area education agency (AEA) and local education agency (LEA) personnel on the use of data and reports generated by the statewide Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) data system to inform decisions about instructions, allocation of resources, fidelity of implementation, and educator supports.
• Informs the development and delivery of training and technical assistance for MTSS and school improvement by using the existing evidence base and maintaining knowledge of emerging evidence in education.
• Coordinates with AEA and LEA stakeholders to analyze and report on Healthy Indicators of pre-kindergarten through secondary school systems. Provides evaluation of educational performance at the state, AEA, LEA, and school levels.
• Provides expertise to the Division of Learning and Results and colleagues in the field in the areas of data analysis and reporting/requests, assessment and MTSS.

In this role, you will serve as a Rehabilitation Counselor Intern and contribute your experience and knowledge towards fulfilling our Mission – We provide expert, individualized services to Iowans with disabilities to achieve their independence through successful employment and economic support alongside your IVRS team.
As a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Intern, you will work on increasing employment and advancement opportunities for persons with disabilities.
Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Interns help youth and adults with disabilities live fuller, more independent lives by assisting them in securing gainful employment. They provide a continuum of professional services designed to remove barriers and help clients achieve success. Through vocational guidance and counseling, counselors assist clients in determining employment goals, identifying services and resources, and preparing for employment and job searches. In addition, counselors develop and maintain relationships with community partners, including job centers, schools, service providers and employers.
Duties and responsibilities with supervision and training include, but are not limited to the following:
• Provide counseling and guidance to empower people with disabilities to achieve their employment goals;
• Determine eligibility for VR services by obtaining and analyzing relevant medical information, and identifying the disability-related barriers to employment that require VR services;
• Prepares and maintains records and case files, including documentation such as participant's personal and eligibility information, services provided, medical records, narratives of participant contacts and other relevant correspondence;
• Support individuals with disabilities to identify their job-related goals and to develop individual plans for employment;
• Determines a comprehensive variety of services, which may include training, physical/mental restoration, assistive technology, benefits planning, supported employment and job placement;
• Assist persons served with identifying their strengths and abilities; adjust to disability; exercise informed choice; maintain progress through their individual plans; and understand labor market trends and employment opportunities; and
• Contact and develop relationships in the business industry in order to provide employment opportunities and placements for participants in a competitive employment setting, while providing services to businesses to assist in achieving their labor goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current master degree student in one of the following areas:
• Rehabilitation Counseling
• Social Work
• Mental Health Counseling
• Teaching
• Business
• Similar or related field of study

• Contact and develop relationships in the business industry in order to provide employment opportunities and placements for participants in a competitive employment setting, while providing services to businesses to assist in achieving their labor goals.
