Job Summary:

The VP Human Resources is responsible for leading the talent acquisition and talent retention business functions that allow ISSA to grow and scale in accordance with company plans and objectives. The role creates and delivers progressive and innovative people programs backed by meaningful data, supporting ISSA’s ability to find, attract, acquire and retain high performance individuals. The role manages a team to deliver a wide range of employee-centered services. Responsibilities and duties:

The VP of Human Resources reports to the Chief Executive Officer, and is the single point of accountability for the following:
• Talent Acquisition and Talent Retention: Manage recruiting and retention strategies that meet core business needs on a consistent basis. Ensure hiring quality, type and timing map to ISSA’s corporate plan. Deliver best-in-class employee service throughout the employment lifecycle of every ISSA team member.
• Talent Management: Ensure organizational changes are aligned with effective communication plans. Lead the organizational strategy on learning and development goals and outcomes. Deliver career path guidance and develop organizational succession planning.
• Total Rewards Strategy and Delivery: Research and report on market compensation data for all ISSA roles. Design salary and variable compensation programs aimed at supporting achievement of company goals. Ensure effective management and delivery of benefit programs. Establish and implement effective reward and recognition programs.
• People Programs: Develop meaningful People programs, policies, and standards that support key ISSA goals and achieve high levels of team engagement. Continually identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction while creating the operational programs to consistently provide and support those opportunities.
• Performance Management: Develop, implement, and oversee company wide performance management programs, including annual OKRs and goal setting, regular performance reviews, 1:1 and team meeting expectations, and compensation strategy and structure.
• Value Creation: Ongoing identification and suggestions of ways to increase employee efficiency and effectiveness, while finding the most cost effective way to deliver amazing service to our students and programs, with the goal of increasing company value for our stakeholders.
• People Operations Management: Lead the People Operations team with effective coaching, KPIs and stretch goal management, training opportunities, regular 1:1 check-ins, and professional development plans. Manage 3rd party partners and consultants in the on-time/on-budget delivery of payroll/benefits/additional services.

What is ISSA looking for:
• 7+ years progressive management experience in a People Operations leadership role, preferably in an educational environment, with at least 4+ years directly managing teams
• 2+ years in a startup or fast growth environment
• Experience with both call-center teams as well as professionals preferred
• Proven experience building, implementing and scaling People Operations programs
• Demonstrated experience cultivating amazing company cultures
• Strong focus on data, and understanding of core business functional areas, including Finance, Marketing, Sales and Technology
• Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of pertinent laws and compliance issues across a multi-state employee base
• Strong skill base in managing employee relations issues and related legal matters

We are currently seeking an ISSA Services SME to join our team in Falls Church, VA.

In the role of ISSA Services SME, you will provide the government customer with security services that minimize exposure to threats, mitigate risks, protect assets and privacy information, and maintain configuration management. The objective of this individual is to implement and support a network security operations management framework that complies with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), which requires NTT Data to secure the information and information systems that support the government customer's operations and assets, including those provided or managed by another agency, Contractor, or other source.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties and Tasks:
• Perform vulnerability assessments and scans of the government customer's infrastructure, as required per customer policy and ensure vulnerabilities and weaknesses are identified and mitigated.
• Respond to and report all incidents concerning intrusion and virus infections.
• Create and update firewall rules to accommodate access to appropriate data sources, as well as test new tools and patches prior to deployment.
• Manage security patches and antivirus signatures and apply security patches in accordance with customer policy.
• Eliminate unauthorized traffic traversing the network as identified by the customer.
• Provide immediate support to serious incidents, intrusions or comprises (classified spillage, unauthorized intrusion, or virus outbreak).
• Provide computer/network incident response capabilities to detect, analyze, and propose responses to security incidents.
• Collect and analyze network intrusion artifacts from a variety of sources to include logs, system images and packet captures to enable mitigation of network incidents.
• Perform threat analysis of the system and application logs using the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tool.
• Adhere to US Government security vulnerability tracking process and methodology.
• Record and respond to all security incidents.
• Manage Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), as required to maintain FISMA compliance.
• Proactively remediate/mitigate unsupported software.
• Ensure all IT infrastructure changes adhere to cyber security policies and recommend remedial actions, in accordance with Federal policies and procedures.
• Ensure security awareness, risk management, and effective Incident Handling and Response to network and information security incidents.
• Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST security guidelines, and OMB mandates.
• Ensure consistency through the collection of processes and tools, track changes, and provide up to date documentation, in a centralized configuration management program.
• Support ongoing Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities.
• Support implementation of Continuous Asset Evaluation Situational Awareness and Risk Scoring (CAESARS).
• Ensure products and services are defect-free through Systems Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Ensure adequate and proper documentation for all filings and issuances is maintained throughout the record life-cycle, and disposition records as required by the National Archives and Records Administration.
• Implement a network security management framework that consists of: prevention, continuous monitoring, detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and follow-up.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 15 years of experience providing information systems security to government customers
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading a team of security administrators
• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security architecture
• Minimum 5 years of experience and advanced knowledge of NIST 800-53
• Minimum 5 years of experience and advanced knowledge of continuous auditing tools.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with POA&M creation, monitoring, remediation, and reporting
• Minimum 5 years of experience and advanced knowledge of FISMA requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Required certifications:
• Must hold at least 1 IAT level III, IAM level II, or IASAE certification per DoD 8570/8140.01-M
• ITIL v3/4 Foundations
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust
