The teaching load for this position is 8 courses per academic year. • Design and teach counseling and counselor education courses which prepare school counselors for work in urban settings.

The Ideal Candidate

Department-Specific Responsibilities
• Develops and implements an external departmental communications strategy to enhance public awareness and promote the mission of the department of psychiatry. This will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
• Manages the departmental website keeping content accurate, relevant, and fresh. Works with various faculty and staff to develop content as needed.
• Works with providers and team at iuhealth.org/providerinfo to keep all provider bios up to date on both the IUSM and IUHP website.
• Works with IUH web team to keep behavioral health content accurate, relevant, and fresh on the IUH website.
• Manages departmental external media presence including social media platforms and identifying stories that can be pitched to be picked up by local media outlets.
• Acts as the primary point of contact for all requests from external media sources, community groups, etc. for information about the department and/or interviews or expert opinions from our faculty.
• Acts as project manager for development of departmental annual report.
• Ensures departmental alignment with IUSM branding and communications strategy by coordinating with the Dean's Office of Strategic Communications.
