Description

The Site Manager (SM) is a full year position based in Columbia, Missouri and is housed on campus at the Student Success Center. The SM works in collaboration with two full-time staff in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Mizzou Jumpstart program to align with Jumpstart quality standards, compliance guidelines, and grant requirements. The SM supports the recruiting, training, and management of college students serving as part-time AmeriCorps members to work with children and families during the academic year. The SM also provides administrative, compliance and project support for the program. As part of the Jumpstart network, the SM is provided opportunities for professional development and growth, including but not limited to new staff training and field support and feedback.

The SM reports directly to the Senior Site Manager.

This position requires a highly organized, energetic, and motivated individual who is able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, take initiative, maintain a positive attitude, and possess the ability to develop and maintain a variety of systems. A strong candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and have experience collaborating in teams.
Demonstrated success of data management and navigation of online systems is key to the role. An ideal candidate will also have experience with and feel comfortable interacting with
Jumpstart’s key stakeholder groups such as university faculty and staff, community liaisons, and preschool partners. In light of the cross-functional role of the Site Manager, the position offers an excellent way to obtain significant insight and experience in all the key functions crucial for operating a successful nonprofit organization.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Early Childhood Education & Corps Member Responsibilities o Develop and facilitate Jumpstart training sequence and secure additional outside training opportunities for Corps members o Coach Team Leaders to support a group of their peers serving as Corps members o Observe Jumpstart sessions to monitor the interactions between Corps members and children and the implementation of planned curriculum to meet quality standards o Observe and support Team Planning Meetings to monitor the quality of team collaboration and meeting facilitation

o Provide Corps members and Leadership Team members with systematic management and support, and consistent, responsive and clear ongoing communication o Provide coaching and feedback to Corps members based on observations of overall performance o Support Corps members in the completion of expected requirements including service hours

The primary schedule for most weeks September to April will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Minimum Qualifications
