The HR team at Kellogg Community College is growing! Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role will be primarily responsible for managing the College's health and ancillary benefits. The HR Manager will work with the CHRO on annual strategies and bid process, managing day-to-day issues regarding benefit plans, invoice processing and coordinating the benefit advisory team's annual institutional recommendations. This position will provide data analysis and communicate benefit updates and changes to employees. They will also serve as a Title VII, IX, EEO, harassment, and employee relations investigator for the College.

In addition, the HR Manager will leverage and coordinate vendor offerings and internal training resources while also facilitating sessions on professional development. Position Summary

This position is an Adjunct, Nurse Aide training program supplemental instructor position, reporting to the Nurse Aide Training Program Manager.

Kellogg Community College is located in Battle Creek, Michigan, a community of approximately 54,000 people. Leisure activities, natural resources, and learning opportunities provide a foundation for residents. Located along the I-94 interstate, Battle Creek is within 30 minutes of Kalamazoo and Lansing, 60 minutes to Grand Rapids and within 3 hours of Detroit, Chicago, and Indianapolis.

Physical Demands

The job responsibilities are performed in a classroom, clinical or nursing laboratory area. The job has intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward (8 – 45 pounds). Typically requires regular use of one or more physical senses of medium intensity and long duration. Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy, and, may be involved in some mildly unpleasant situations.

Minimum Qualifications
• A license in Practical Nursing or an Associate degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited college/university (two-year program) or equivalent formal training program
• A current unencumbered LPN or RN license in the State of Michigan
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse with at least one (1) year in the provision of long-term care facility services (federally-certified CMS facility, state-licensed long-term care facility)
• Experience in supervising adults and/or nurse aides in the clinical and/or the educational setting
• A nurse aide trainer candidate must have at least one (1) year of experience in providing skilled nursing care and related services to individuals that require non-hospital residential medical, nursing or rehabilitative services. Long term care facilities may include nursing homes, hospital long term care units, county medical care facilities, homes for the aged, assisted living facilities, hospice and other like provider types
• Currently state-approved to teach the Nurse Aide Program at Kellogg Community College, or continued employment is contingent upon State of Michigan approval to teach at Kellogg Community College
• Must be a resident of Michigan or Indiana

Preferred but not Required
• Experience teaching in a community college
• Experience working with a diverse population
• Previous experience and or knowledge in Nurse Aide Training Program State Curriculum
• Current State of Michigan Nurse Aide Training Program Train the Trainer certification

• Prioritize Culture Transformation of Reliability Maintenance – Build capability in the High-Performance Organization, resource the High Performing Work Teams and ensure knowledge transfer to AM Teams
• Champion Reliability Maintenance (RM) Methodologies – Insist on standardization within Internal Manufacturing locations to maintenance metrics reporting, spending and loss analysis, RM standard work, Lubrication Management, Parts Management, Breakdown Elimination, etc.
• Be strategic – Develop and deploy maintenance improvement programs that improve OEE, maintenance performance and equipment reliability. Work effectively with BU Leadership Teams to develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs and implementation of technologies to insure maximum asset effectiveness.
• Act as a hands-on coach/leader – Support Autonomous Maintenance (AM) efforts in plants participating in AM events. Share maintenance best practices related to equipment and technical ownership, lubrication standards, and technical training of operators and technicians.
