Job Summary
Postdoctoral Researchers support teams of KSU faculty and students (undergraduate and graduate students), which engage with external collaborators from other universities, community members, government agencies, and/or private sector entities to stimulate innovation, capacity-building, and sustainability of research and scholarly activity at KSU.
This position is considered limited-term staff since it utilizes contingent funding. Employment thereafter will be conditional based on continued availability of funding.
Responsibilities
1 Plans and executes experimental activities, data analyses, submission of reports or ofmanuscripts to peer-reviewed publications, and/or attendance and presentation of research findings at appropriate venues of dissemination
2 Develops and contributes to new ideas for research proposals and directions within theresearch group
3 .Develops an Individual Development Plan (IDP) in collaboration with faculty mentor
4 Generates revenue by securing grants and participates in departmental and institutional careerdevelopment programs, such as grant writing workshops
5 Prepares project budget and ensures funded project operates within budget guidelines
6 Maintains official records and documents, and ensures compliance with institutional policies,and federal, state and local regulations
7 Establishes working relationships and cooperative arrangements with internal and externalpartners
8 Engages in research and publication
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team, led by an industrial and systems engineering principal investigator, to execute two NIH-funded projects focused on reducing disparities and improving health outcomes in preventive oral health for children and adolescents

The Vice President for Research is expected to assume office on July 1, 2023.
Reporting to the President and serving as a member of the President's Cabinet, the Vice President for Research (VPR) is a 12-month administrative faculty position that provides executive oversight and strategic vision for research, service, and creative activities of the University's faculty, staff, and other research investigators. The VPR is directly responsible for the direction of all operations of the University's Office of Research, leading all research endeavors within the University, and also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Kennesaw State University Research and Service Foundation (KSURSF).
The Vice President for Research oversees a staff of roughly 45 individuals, in Research Operations and Communications, Sponsored Projects, Research Compliance, as well as Economic Development and Community Engagement, and Commercialization. Additionally, the VPR guides the Office of Undergraduate Research as well as post-doctoral training and development. The Vice President for Research will be charged with advancing research growth at KSU, especially through supporting an increase in external funding, and will play a critical role in continuing to strengthen KSU's diverse and inclusive research community.

The VPR is directly responsible for the direction of all operations of the University's Office of Research, leading all research endeavors within the University, and also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Kennesaw State University Research and Service Foundation (KSURSF).
The Vice President for Research oversees a staff of roughly 45 individuals, in Research Operations and Communications, Sponsored Projects, Research Compliance, as well as Economic Development and Community Engagement, and Commercialization. Additionally, the VPR guides the Office of Undergraduate Research as well as post-doctoral training and development. The Vice President for Research will be charged with advancing research growth at KSU, especially through supporting an increase in external funding, and will play a critical role in continuing to strengthen KSU's diverse and inclusive research community.

Job Summary
Provides leadership, guidance, supervision and support to a team of international education professionals and is responsible for the decisions that support the mission, goals, and objectives to drive student engagement and interest in international education. 1. Manages education abroad programming and processes according to the institution's strategic plan for campus internationalization
2. Coordinates campus initiatives to support student access to education abroad programs and activities
3. Facilitates the development, implementation, refinement, and monitoring of education abroad programs and affiliations in order to meet learning outcomes, maximize student participation, and minimize risk to the university
4. Leads the Education Abroad Office, providing guidance, coaching, training, and performance management
5. Leads and collaborates towards innovative approaches to ensure that education abroad programs are integrated within academic degree programs
6. Leads interdisciplinary and staff meetings to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and policies and updates on new programs or department developments
7. Works closely with other campus departments to ensure integrity and compliance for all education abroad program participants
8. Collaborates with university leadership (Student Affairs, Risk Management & Safety, Research, Diversity & Inclusion) in developing institutional guidelines supportive of education abroad as well as to ensure integrity and compliance for all education abroad programming, participating students, faculty, and staff
9. Oversees education abroad development and implementation for multiple types of programs, including faculty-led study abroad programs, exchange programs (incoming and outgoing students), international student teaching programs, international internships, consortium programs abroad, institutional programs, and third-party provider education abroad programs
10. Manages the promotion of education abroad on campus, including outreach to students
11. Coordinates KSU's annual Pre-Departure Orientation Workshop Series and mandatory Online Pre-Departure Orientation modules
12. Oversight of data collection, processing, and analysis relevant to program evaluation across various programs and services for the purpose of monitoring and assessing program impact and success
