KRDO-AM/FM, located in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado, along the front range of the Colorado Rockies, is looking for a Radio New Business Account Executive/ Multimedia Consultant. This position is responsible for generating revenue for KRDO-AM/FM/NPG Digital while cultivating strong client relationships.
Job Description:
We are a fast-paced newsroom that puts an emphasis on investigative reporting, breaking news and weather coverage. If you like to win and have the drive to find ways to make your news coverage stand out, this is the newsroom for you! The successful candidate will be able to identify the "big story" of the day and understand what makes an impactful newscast with a focus on strong writing and showcasing skills. This is a hybrid position that will involve producing live, TV newscasts and producing content for our website and social media platforms.
A degree in journalism, mass communications or equivalent experience is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure and handle stress are a must. Must be a good team leader, proficient in multi-tasking and have a flexible schedule. Broadcast news producing and/or digital writing experience is preferred.
Annual Salary Range:
$41k - $43k; based on experience. Non-Exempt.

Duties for this position include but are not limited to; Leading on content generation and planning, getting confirmation of facts on breaking news and other stories, assigning stories, working closely with reporters and photographers on story development, coordinating newscast logistics, responding to viewer inquiries in a professional and timely manner, and developing strong relationships with police, fire, and government agencies.
Assignment desk duties involve efficient use of newsroom resources when planning and coordinating news coverage, researching, and setting up stories, and monitoring emergency, law enforcement and fire scanner frequencies and other duties as assigned.
We are a fast-paced newsroom emphasizing enterprise reporting, breaking news, and weather coverage. We are looking for a news hound who wants to win. The ideal candidate will have sound news judgement and will not be afraid to break news daily. This management position requires someone who will lead by example with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude to win the "big story." The successful candidate has effective communication skills with attention to detail. The Assignment Manager will join a management team which prioritizes culture and coaching.
A degree in journalism, mass communications or equivalent experience is required. Three years prior newsroom experience generating story ideas, performing research, and managing others preferred.
