This is a full-time salaried position reporting directly to the Head of Technical Education, and requires minimal travel. This position will not directly manage people. The full compensation range for this position is between $81,000 - $101,000, with a starting base salary range of $74,000-$92,000. This is a fully remote position, with a schedule that may adjust for personal or family responsibilities and honor a work-life balance. Primary work hours are from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Central Time.

Role Responsibilities
• Curriculum Design and Iteration: Initiate and iterate a LaunchCode Backwards Design Curriculum Process across all course subject areas to streamline and improve curriculum design.
• Research and Collaboration: Conduct research and collaborate with external tech education professionals, instructors, Career Outcome team members, industry experts, and other professionals to ensure LaunchCode content is the most up-to-date among industry partners.
• Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of instructors and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the curriculum/content review council while also addressing feedback from cohort teams and students to drive urgent changes to content delivery that align with industry best practices.
• Curriculum and Content Updates:

• Utilize Help Desk patterns and ticket processes to create a sustainable cadence for crowd-sourcing updates to content.
• Establish feasible timeframes to achieve curriculum goals and objectives.
• Develop a well-structured curriculum auditing, mapping, scoping, sequencing, and iteration cycle.
• Lesson Plan Delivery: Contribute to stimulating lesson plan delivery by creating instructor-facing materials and recommend long-term updates to the Curriculum Design effort.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Cross-collaborate with other departments to ensure content language and references are consistent across the LaunchCode brand.
• Feedback Application: Apply feedback from students, instructors, and other stakeholders in synchronous and discrete ways across delivery methods.
• Supplementary Resources: Create supplementary instructor and student guides, resources for continued learning, and materials that dynamically portray curriculum for LMS integration and future auditing processes.
• LMS Integration: Ensure seamless integration and updates within the LMS (Canvas)

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in curriculum design and content development.

The Instructional Assistant leadership experience provides the opportunity to grow, not just your technical skills, but also public speaking, presentation, people management, and group facilitation skills.

Position Details

Role Responsibilities

• Support and encourage Learners through timely responses via various communication channels such as Discord or email

• Introduce and demonstrate the practical application of the Studio Activity; reinforce concepts

Qualifications
• 1+ years of professional experience in a technical setting and/or graduation from a LaunchCode or similar program

The length of the contract will begin in mid June 2023 running approximately 16 weeks including a preparation week (1 week) and the full duration of the course (15 weeks). Role Responsibilities Essential Job Functions
Is responsible for the execution of all aspects of the course related to student learning, including lectures, review sessions, and coding practices. Is responsible for all course administration related to classroom activities, including grading, attendance, student evaluation, and student communications. Assists LaunchCode staff in organizing supplementary content, such as guest lectures, career workshops and student activities. Supports each individual student, including identifying their performance problems and working with them to create pathways for improvement. Works with LaunchCode staff to manage student enrollment and learning status, and regularly report course and student progress. Qualifications Strong knowledge in JavaScript, Java, HTML, CSS, and related Frameworks.. Teaching experience in programming and related technical topics at the college level, in a coding bootcamp environment, or equivalent Software and/or web development in a professional setting A solid knowledge on current programming trends and best practices Building and deploying software applications from scratch Strong communication skills - Live lecture, review sessions, and coding practices. Salary Range The lead instructor will be paid $35,000 - $38,000, based on experience and qualifications, to be paid in monthly installments throughout the duration of the 16 week course.
