JOB SUMMARY...

The Senior Diversity Recruitment Specialist (SDRS) will assist the Associate Director of Diversity Recruitment to maximize the outreach and effectiveness of diversity recruitment initiatives. The SDRS will contact prospective students, perform research, assist in building external and internal relationships, and represent diversity recruitment at on-campus and off-campus functions. The SDRS will also analyze and interpret in-house data and conduct outside research based on the most current trends.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide support to the Associate Director of Diversity Recruitment, the recruitment team, and the Office of Equity and Inclusion as designated

2. Attend all required on-campus and off-campus recruitment events

3. Communicate with prospective students, to maintain relationships and recruit them to the university

4. Assist in cultivating and maintaining relationships with colleges, guidance counselors from high schools, community-based organizations, and other higher education recruitment organizations

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work Environment

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate. May experience heat/cold, dry/humid travel conditions, or during outdoor events.

Approximately 50% of the time in this position will be spent researching and analyzing diversity and current recruitment trends. The remaining 50% of the time spent in this position will be allocated to managing the logistics of Liberty University diversity initiatives including but not limited to diversity recruitment events (on and off-campus) as well as college fairs as designated.

Driving Requirements

Use of one’s vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
