Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for ensuring participant safety, facility cleanliness, effective operations, and a high level of customer service, at all used facilities, during operational hours.

2. Assist in the maintenance and adherence of risk management procedures and policies at all used facilities, ensuring compliance with university policies.

3. Responsible to fairly officiate Intramural Sports events, maintaining standards of play and ensuring that rules are adhered to.

4. Responsible to legibly write and track game points and statistics.

5. Responsible for checking-in valid participants for Intramural Sports and Campus Recreation events.

6. Responsible for the set up and tear down of essential equipment.

7. Effectively communicate any issues or customer complaints to the Intramural Sports Manager on shift.

8. Responsible to ensure clean and organized facilities through stocking supplies and maintaining clean and public spaces.

9. Responsible to assist with maintenance of equipment at all used facilities, including regular cleaning.

10. Regularly assist with events and operations during evening, nights or weekend hours.

11. Attend all required Campus Recreation trainings and meetings.

12. Perform all other tasks assigned by the Intramural Sports Coordinator, Assistant Director, and Director to assist with Campus Recreation operations and programming.

13. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Basic knowledge of all sport specific rules.

2. Experience in playing and/or scorekeeping specific sport.

3. Current Liberty University.

4. Ability to work up to 18 hours per week.

5. Availability to work a variety of different shifts (weekends, early morning, afternoon, late night).

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Advanced knowledge of all sport specific rules.

2. Legible hand writing.

3. Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.

4. Experience in a customer service position.

5. Desire to pursue Recreation Management as a career field

4. Maintain accurate records of coaching sessions and attendees.

5. Attend mandatory orientation, training sessions, and scheduled meetings as required by the Assistant Director of Residential Writing Services.

2. Cumulative LU GPA of at least 3.0.

3. Score Clock Operator – Run the score clock for events such as hockey, lacrosse and volleyball.

5. Video Board Operator – Follow a script and control videos, slides and other media going on to the video board for fan experience.

6. Event Host – Perform on camera to host mini games and provide entertainment for fans.
