The Role

Senior AV Technical Manager

This role plays a pivotal part... in delivering top class Audio Visual services to the University, their visitors and students. The Technical Team Leader should have a high level of expertise in all aspects of Audio Visual Technologies as well as Microsoft Collaboration tools such as Teams. They will be the point of escalation for service issues and responsible for implementation and maintenance of equipment related to AV and hybrid meetings.

Acting as a team manager for a small team of technicians, relationship manager for the stakeholders and supplier manager for the suppliers, delivering all services related to AV.

Effective management of SLAs and KPIs is also part of the role.

This role is as much hands on as it is managing the team and the AV service.

The School

The School of Computing and Engineering is a professional and student focused School with high quality teaching, student experience and research informed teaching at the top of its priority list. The Role

The post holder will teach an appropriate mix of undergraduate and postgraduate Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing courses within the School of Computing and Engineering at UWL commensurate with technical knowledge and prior experience.

In addition, they will contribute to research, enterprise development and commercial training in appropriate sub-discipline(s) within the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing field, as well as community engagement activities of the School.

The Person

The candidate should have knowledge of current Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing practice and ability to teach relevant subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in higher education.

Evidence of teaching experience and an established research track record, or equivalent industrial experience, with appropriate outputs in a discipline relevant to the subject are also required.

Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field.
