We're looking for an experienced Barista/Dining Room Server. It's a full-time position averaging 40 hours a week with a 6-day schedule. Most of your hours will be at the Barnacle, blended with a mix of Breakfast and Dinner Service shifts in the Hotel’s Dining Room.

• Compiles and records information on juvenile clients and their activities in order monitor and document compliance with conditions of supervision. Records and submits reports to management and the courts as part of statutory requirements.
• Prepares, monitors, reviews, and revises individual strengths-based case plans and refers them to appropriate education, employment, community, and treatment programs/resources to promote their rehabilitation and mitigate identified criminogenic factors.
• Ensure that all conditions of supervision are understood by the juvenile client
• Provide appropriate level of supervision based on risks and needs assessment.
• Respond to law enforcement requests for detention of juvenile clients, utilizing the detention risk assessment.

This position provides Vocational Rehabilitation services to people who are Blind and Visually Impaired primarily in Penobscot, Hancock, Washington and Piscataquis counties. This position is based out of the Presque Isle office.
Work includes counseling individuals in selecting, preparing for, and participating in a rehabilitation plan or retaining employment. Typical duties include determining eligibility for rehabilitation services and supporting individuals in an employment plan. Activities may include career development, youth employment transition programming and supporting other types of work experiences. The position works closely with blindness rehabilitation professionals, community providers, families, employers, schools and requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaborative skills to serve youth and adults who are blind or visually impaired.
Frequent regional travel is necessary. Given the nature of job responsibilities, this position may be subject to fingerprinting as part of the background process, once a conditional offer of employment has been made.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Counsel clients in the rehabilitation process, develops a supportive relationship, and elicits client feedback and participation in order to provide rehabilitation services to clients.
• Evaluates and interprets client’s medical and physical information, interviews and determines initial and continuing eligibility for services, and assesses client needs and available resources to develop and implement a comprehensive and individualized plan for employment.
• Contacts business and industry groups to promote, advocate for clients, and assistance to place clients in jobs.
• Consults with representatives of schools, public and private agencies, and employers.
• Develops and manages a budget plan to ensure effective delivery of client services.
• Coordinates training, treatment, counseling, job coaching, and related rehabilitation programs to assist clients.
• Explains rights of fair hearings and appeals and negotiates solutions and agreements with clients to meet client needs, agency goals, and minimize appeals.

The Maine CDC Division of Disease Prevention is looking for a Senior Health Program Manager to provide leadership for the Tobacco and Substance Use Prevention and Control (TSUPC) Program. Programming within this unit is broad and includes services to prevent tobacco and substance use, support school-based health services, empower youth, support tobacco cessation, and prevent suicide. This position will be responsible for directing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all division programming. It will ensure that effective, evidence-based programming is implemented statewide.
This position is responsible for overseeing the Maine Prevention Network initiative – a statewide effort to prevent tobacco and substance use as well as increase healthy eating and active living in Maine. In addition to the work aimed at policy, systems, and environmental change, this includes multiple mass-reach health communication campaigns and evaluation of the programming. You will provide leadership, oversight, and accountability to these efforts.
Core Responsibilities
As the TSUPC Program Director, your core responsibilities will include:
• Be responsible for the development and administration of program budgets.
• Respond to and manage federal funding awards.
• Ensure programmatic alignment with evidence-informed practice and data-driven needs.
• Actively participate in Division-wide activities relating to the development and support of environments that promote health and support and reinforce healthful behaviors.
• Monitor and evaluate data to identify implications for short and long-range planning.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight of all contracts within the program.
• Manage the competitive procurement and contracting process for all supported agreements.
• Lead relevant advisory boards to elicit and receive stakeholder feedback as stated in statute and required by federal agreements.
• Supervise program staff, including delegation of activities and managing other personnel issues.
• Participate in the Legislative Process, including preparing written testimony and delivering oral testimony, as guided by the DHHS Commissioner’s and MaineCDC Director’s Offices.
• Represent the program at local and national meetings, conferences, and trainings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Entry level knowledges, skills, and/or abilities may be acquired through, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO the following coursework/training and/or experience).
A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or Health Sciences, Health Education, one of the Behavioral Sciences, Public Administration, or Education - AND - four (4) years experience in health program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation - OR - an equivalent eight (8) year combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred candidates will also have:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge and experience with tobacco prevention and control, substance use prevention, youth empowerment, suicide prevention, and/or interventions related to shared risk and protective factors
• Ability to gather, synthesize, and summarize a variety of information for decision-making, program planning, and general awareness
• The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external partners
• Contract management experience – overseeing vendor budgets, developing and managing workplans, and ensuring deliverables are met as well as developing strategies for performance improvement
• Budget management experience – development and tracking of multimillion-dollar, multiple funding source budget
• Advanced management skills – demonstrated ability to independently delegate tasks appropriately and hold staff accountable for deadlines, quality of work, as well as lead challenging conversations both internally and externally
• Experience overseeing management or supervisory level staff
