The Hospitality teacher works to deliver high-quality educational experiences in the field of hospitality management and related pathways (travel, tourism, outdoor recreation, etc). Qualifications:

full-time Assistant/Associate Professor in Business Administration
in Regenerative Tourism with an entrepreneurial spirit to teach and
design baccalaureate-level courses for our bachelor’s degree in
Business Administration in Regenerative Tourism. Courses include
but are not limited to Ecological, Sustainable and Ethical Tourism,
Environmental Marketing and Branding, and Innovative Products in

About Distance Education :

Distance Education provides an entirely asynchronous, online
learning experience that adapts to the unique circumstances of each
student. Our fully accredited bachelor's and master's degree
programs, as well as non-degree credits, empower learners to shape
their own educational journey. With 8 five-week terms for
undergraduates and 5 eight-week terms for graduate students, our
model offers unparalleled flexibility. You can learn at your own

The Opportunity:

Unity Environmental University Distance Education is seeking
enthusiastic individuals to teach Sustainable Tourism and
Hospitality courses for our online graduate degree programs.
Courses are online and run for eight weeks in five terms for
graduate programs.

Day to day responsibilities:
• This position is responsible for facilitating engagement in
8-week graduate-level courses in sustainable tourism and
hospitality management related courses, such as Sustainable
Operations for Travel and Hospitality, Building Social and
Environmental Equity into Tourism Supply Chains, and Sustainable
Business Strategy for Travel and Hospitality.
• Courses are taught asynchronously with an average of 20
students per course.
• Instructors must meet expectations for timely feedback,
engagement in Discussion Board tasks, and responsiveness to
students.

Qualifications

Do you have the skills?
• The ideal candidate will possess a terminal degree (e.g. PhD,
MBA) in Hospitality and Tourism (or related field)or a master’s
degree with ample experience in the profession
• Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and
associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately using
e-mail and digital conferencing tools
• Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of
the college

Desired skills:
• Experience teaching adult learners and/or teaching in an online
context
• Experience using Canvas or other Learning Management System to
facilitate learning

The Location:

Unity Environmental University's Distance Education curriculum is
100% online. Our Distance Education Adjuncts will teach
remotely.

• Counselors are supported to curtail noise level/horseplay in the cabins.
• Campers are back in their own cabins at the appropriate time.
• Camp facilities are closed at the end of each night.
• All staff are back in their cabins prior to finishing your shift.
• Evening summary check-list is completed and communicated to Camp Director prior to finishing your shift.
• Contact a Director immediately if a major issue takes place.

Our Head Counselors provide training, support, and supervision to our counselors as well as plan evening activities, trip days, and fun days. This job requires a decisive and enthusiastic person--spreading joy and solving problems wherever they go. Our Head Counselors Camp Encore/Coda, the music and sports camp in Sweden, Maine, is hiring a Head Counselor to work for the summer, specifically supervising our South Camp, which includes our boys cabins. Our Head Counselors provide training, support, and supervision to our counselors as well as plan evening activities, trip days, and fun days. This job requires a decisive and enthusiastic person--spreading joy and solving problems wherever they go.
