About The Role

Dow Jones is looking for a Workplace Receptionist who will report directly to the Program Manager of Workplace Evolution. You Will:As Workplace Receptionist:

• Visitor greeting - physically opening the door for visitors and welcoming them to Dow Jones
• Offer to store their jackets, bags, umbrellas
• Offer coffee/water
• Escort them to conference rooms (when appropriate)
• Providing any office directions or assistance requested
• Contact the Dow Jones visitor’s host
• Aid employees with requests regarding the office, directing them to the appropriate team members of facilities or security.
• Process visitor registration with the building landlord visitor management portal.
• Assist the Workplace team with reception area events/employee engagements.
• Partner with EAs and other departments to ensure appropriate meeting room allocation for large gatherings.

As Security
• Promote enforcement of basic security protocols, such as displaying corporate identification, and administering, documenting and controlling the visitor management system.
• Serve as point of contact for any security or facility issue.
• Establish and maintain physical and environmental security.
• Maintain access control system lists within the office to protect sensitive, high-value or critical resources, such as data center or technology storage.
• Validate delivery access to the Dow Jones floors.
• Liaison with building landlord, concierge desk and/or Security to resolve any visitor-related issues and ensure a safe and secure workplace for employees, contractors and guests.
• Assist Workplace Security in conducting an annual security assessment of the office, and with emergency response and business continuity plans and exercises.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support as directed by the Dow Jones Supervisor.
• Remain flexible to an ever-changing environment; adapt well to different situations.
• Fully embrace security/safety training programs to enhance their ability to advance in their careers.
• Communicate effectively with the security and safety teams, and other Dow Jones teams/organizations at the facility to assure business continuity.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.

You Have
• 3 to 5 years of relevant career experience working within a corporate environment.
• Experience in a large office environment.
• Experience in customer service or hospitality.
• Experience in security basic security training
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and requests.
