About The Role

At Marker, we know that a learning disability diagnosis is just the beginning of the journey. As Marker’s Learning Services Sales Associate, you'll be the “Learning Navigator” directly consulting with Marker’s clients and driving adoption of Marker’s emerging suite of tutoring and coaching services.

In this role, you will interface with individuals and families, taking a consultative sales approach to help our clients determine the most effective support options for their unique needs. You will be responsible for helping to execute Marker’s downstream services sales strategy, providing feedback and insights to improve our sales tactics, and supporting the overall growth of our downstream offerings. Most importantly, you will embody Marker’s core values, ensuring that we always put students first.

What You’ll Do
• Help Marker’s clients determine what type of support service (e.g. tutoring, coaching, etc.) would be most beneficial for them
• Attend learning services calls with Marker evaluation clients and new customers, taking a consultative approach to selling our support services
• Engage and form a genuine connection with Marker’s customers, getting them excited about our offerings, recommending and selling solutions
• Become an expert on Marker’s support programs and product offerings
• Manage to quarterly sales targets and carefully track sales outcomes, objection reasons, and conversion rates
• Test and iterate on new ideas, using a “fail-fast” approach to support rapid innovation
• Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization

Qualities Of An Ideal Candidate
• Significant knowledge about the U.S. special education system, including IEPs, 504 plans, and various types of interventions (e.g. Orton Gillingham for dyslexia)
• Experience working in sales preferred, but not required
• Evening and weekend availability required, ideally after 5pm EST on weekdays and flexible availability on Saturdays and Sundays
• Motivated by Marker Learning’s mission to expand access to high quality and affordable support for students with learning disabilities
• Highly empathetic and personable, with exceptional listening skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
• Ability to learn, adapt, and thrive in a dynamic environment
• Bias for action and a positive, “roll up your sleeves” attitude

Hourly Position (1099 Contractor): $20-30 per hour base, plus sales-based commission*

• Produce realistic Battlefield Effects using simulators, training devices and pyrotechnics without assistance in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
• Operate and maintain all assigned equipment to prescribed standards to include operation of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV), must train and become proficient in military map reading using the Military Grid Reference System.
• Work during both daylight hours and during periods of limited visibility while using (NVGs) Night Vision Goggles.
• Work under all weather conditions and in a wide variety of terrain.
• Follow all instructions from Shift Leader and perform tasks in compliance with all applicable corporate and local regulations, policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned consistent with mission requirements and occupational specialty.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess valid driver’s license.
• Must be capable of completing safety certification program prior to performing duties.

Desired Experience:
• Experience reading military maps and in military radio-telephone procedures.
• Possess Class D driver's license.

Additional Experience:
• Must be in good physical condition and capable of rapid cross country movement on foot over varied terrain for a distance of 2km while carrying a 20 pound pack in 20 minutes.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to throw pyrotechnic a minimum of 20 meters.
• Must be able to multi-task and work independently when needed.
• Must train and become proficient in military map reading using the Military Grid Reference System.
• Must become proficient in military communications procedures.
• Must be available to work flexible shifts outdoors and react quickly to schedule changes.
• Must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US and foreign countries.
• Individual must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
• Must possess a valid Louisiana State Drivers License (or equivalent).

This Position Requires The Following
• Remotely administer academic and cognitive (e.g., WISC-V) assessments for school districts
• Synthesize intake forms, behavioral observations, and evaluation results to develop a comprehensive report, including actionable recommendations
• Follow company-wide processes to ensure reports are finished promptly to meet your client's expectations
• Comply with confidentiality laws and Marker Learning policies

To Qualify For This Position, You Will Need
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Professional bedside manner and ability to build rapport with clients in a remote environment
• Comfort with computers and willingness to learn our platforms. This position requires a working knowledge of computers and computer programs (e.g., the ability to conduct a Zoom meeting, etc.)
• Minimum of one year of psychoeducational evaluation testing with children and adults, including full test administration, scoring, and interpretation of standardized academic tests such as the WISC-V, WAIS-IV, WIAT-4, WJ, Conners-3, or KTEA-3.
• At least one year of experience writing integrated psychological evaluation reports, including test interpretation, clinical formulation, and personalized recommendation
• A master's degree (or higher) and a license to practice clinical or educational psychology in schools, per the state's requirements
• Private location with secure WiFi to ensure confidentiality and uncompromised administration of the tests
