Job Description:

Essential Functions:

The Part-time Para-Educator Instructor, ETF will conduct classes to provide students with career readiness and occupational skills training to enter the education field in an entry-level role as well as prepare to take the Para Pro test. They will also work closely with the ETF Para-Educator Outreach Counselor as well as the Corporate and Community Education staff to support students and ensure their training success.

Essential Functions of the Part-time Para-Educator Instructor, ETF include:
• Plan each Para-Educator course lesson as to content, method, and organization to make each class period meaningful
• Deliver each class to ensure an effective learning experience
• Maintain a high level of competence and expertise in the field
• Incorporate current teaching techniques, subject area developments, and current technology (if applicable) into the learning experience
• Provide classroom instruction in accordance with approved course outlines
• Provide for effective evaluation of the learning experience of each student
• Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills, and work ethic (i.e. preparation and punctuality)
• Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of the community college
• Support a diverse population of learners
• Work in a participatory and collegial setting, including collaborate with the ETF Program Director and Para-Educator Outreach Counselor to provide timely student support
• Support continuous improvement of curricula and services
• Ensure that assigned classes are held as scheduled
• Accommodate differing student learning styles in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the College's established ADA program

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Education or closely related field, with specialized coursework in the field of English Language Learning and/or Special Education
Preferred:
• Master's degree in Education, with specialized coursework in field of English Language Learning, and/or Special Education
• Para Pro certification or a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paraprofessional Educator
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• Experience teaching adult learners
• Experience in a higher education or workforce development environment with an understanding of barriers to higher education and/or training faced by some students
• Experience with grant-funded or similar short-term workforce development programs, including recruitment, assessment, support, and data collection
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications

Minimum Requirements: These are the minimum requirements necessary for the position of Legal Chief of Staff:
Law Degree from an accredited law school and membership in the Massachusetts Bar;

A minimum of ten (10) years of professional legal experience, including significant litigation experience. Significant experience in a senior legal position, preferably as senior agency counsel, including a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience.
