Role
• Lead a global, diverse team responsible for daily activities associated with customer billing/invoicing, pricing, billing assurance, incident management, projects & customer inquiry support
• Set and communicate the vision, goals and objectives for the Billing function that are aligned with and supportive of MasterCard’s strategy and business unit plans and objectives
• Oversee recurring operational activities within the Mastercard Consolidated Billing System (MCBS) including scheduled release management and bill run performance
• Co-create strategies with key business partners which are anchored in technology, scale, and customer experience
• Liaise with GBSC leadership, Corporate Controllership, Regional Finance, and other Senior Stakeholders to ensure compliance with all represented policies and controls
• Oversee development, implementation and maintenance of cost-effective controls to promote data integrity and minimize risk (financial, operational, legal, regulatory, etc.) and maintain appropriate segregation of duties.
• Serve as a point of escalation for compliance and service level issues for senior and executive levels
• Identify and explain incidents related to MCBS and associated revenue recognition and critical communications
• Ensure the execution of accurate, reliable, and timely billing project implementations and rate changes
• Lead continuous reviews of existing Billing processes, performance metrics & system capabilities to assess operational efficiency and to ensure that processes meet the present and anticipated needs of business units, Global Finance, and other stakeholders
• Provide segment CFO’s information and insights while advancing data management and analytic capabilities across the billing function
• Apply a strong understanding of business strategies including new and emerging product lines, services, and programs ensure needs are prioritized to achieve optimal business value
• Conduct capacity analysis planning to ensure that the GBSC Billing function’s resources (e.g., technology, people) are sufficient to meet customer needs and are not excessive in light of projected demand (includes captive & non captive service delivery model)
• Ensures access to data, information and systems is appropriately authorized in accordance with MasterCard policies and procedures.
• Manage, coach, develop and complete objective-setting and performance evaluations for GBSC Billing leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of experience and formal education
• Experience leading multi functional, multi diverse, & multi geographic billing teams; Expert understanding in the end-to-end billing process life cycle
• Well-honed influencing skills. Demonstrated success in partnering across a global organization at multiple levels and business units. Proven ability to build credibility, drive collaboration and outcomes
• Demonstrated leadership in complex situations and viewed as a credible subject matter expert in shared services, operations, process measurement, project management and people leadership
• Experience working in shared services environments preferred
