Make an Impact as an Associate Product Specialist

The Mastercard Launch program is aimed at early career talent, to help you develop skills and gain cross-functional work experience. Over a period of 18 months, Launch participants will be assigned to a business unit, learn and develop skills, and gain valuable on the job experience. As an Associate Product Specialist in Data & Services you will have the opportunity to experience two rotations over the duration of the program. These rotations will take place in two of the three following groups:

Global Loyalty Services

Global Loyalty Services helps customers drive their engagement and grow their business through loyalty program management, offers and Cardholder Services. Our world-class loyalty solutions enable Issuers and/or Merchants to reward, protect and assist cardholders driving overall brand usage, retention and brand preference. Our vision is to become the partner of choice for Issuers and Merchants by leveraging our solutions to drive profitable consumer engagement and Mastercard preference.

Marketing Services

Marketing Services acquires new consumers and increases engagement with existing consumers to drive business results for clients. We work with financial institutions, fintechs, merchants, digital players and governments to engage consumers at every stage of the marketing journey to drive better marketing outcomes leveraging a unique blend of global marketing expertise, data, analytics, technology, our network of preferred partners, and Mastercard brand assets.  We are also a strategic force multiplier, accelerating adoption and use of Mastercard products and services, and driving incremental growth in our core business.

Insights & Analytics

Insights & Analytics leverages trusted data to empower organizations to make smarter decisions for better outcomes through insights portals and analytics tools and solutions. We partner with financial institutions, merchants, and public sector organizations, enabling them to understand their business and take action. From executing best-in-class testing analytics, to understanding spend activity in a geography, to benchmarking overall payment performance and operations, I&A is the engine that enables Mastercard and our customers to create value from data.

As an Associate Product Specialist, you will:

Maintain centralized product governance and program franchise model for pricing, marketing, cardholder communications and analytics and operations.

Manage new and existing consumer communication and awareness channels via B2B, B2B2C and B2C channels

Provide competitive landscape, trends, consumer insights, research and end-to-end program analytics

Keep track and provide guidance on laws, regulations that impact the product globally

Collect and work with data including standardizing, summarizing, offering initial observations and highlighting inconsistencies

Work with various product lines, technologies, and industries

Responsibilities

Support the analysis of internal and external stakeholder needs and issues

Conduct market research to inform profitability targets for a specific product

Assist in creating reports on market insights and industry trends

Assist in monitoring project plan statuses

Gather and analyze data needed for decisioning

Assist in the creation of best practice documents for internal and external stakeholders

Draft materials such as training decks or portions of RFPs

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree with a graduation date between December 2023 – August 2024

Demonstrated ability to act with a persistent and relentless sense of urgency

Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to many audiences, from technical resources to regional product and marketing leads

Excellent listening and presentation skills

Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and cross-functional team building skills

Competency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PPT

Manager, Product Management

The Manager, Product Management role in the Data & Services department will own and manage portions of Mastercard’s Marketing Services product suite designed for Financial Institutions, stemming from cutting across new customer acquisitions, Portfolio to Spend Optimization and Customer Enhancement Services. This position works heavily with the sales and product delivery teams as the SME on these products and services, helping to bring a vision to life on how we can help our clients meet and exceed their goals. In addition, this role will work with internal teams at Mastercard to bring forth Mastercard assets as appropriate, as well as enhance and improve our services suite.

Responsibilities:

• Bring expertise in digital marketing of financial products, services, and solutions.
• Leverage, interpret and analyze data and insights (internally and externally) to plan multi-channel marketing initiatives, providing thought leadership to the sales narrative.
• Partner with Mastercard Client Services group (who is responsible for delivery our products and services) on ways to improve and enhance their working environment.
• Own a feedback loop with Client Services to identify and craft Case Studies, overarching themes from the work being delivered from good news trends and findings to areas of opportunity.
• Support and grow key Mastercard initiatives with Marketing Services elements, such as Buy Now Pay Later, Retail Bank Deposits Growth, Mastercard Priceless Travel Recovery, etc.

• Digital campaign experience preferred (any of: Social, SMS, Content, Email).
• Strong experience selling to clients using your expert knowledge, preferably regarding the Marketing Services product suite.
• High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
• Proven ability to think strategically and provide feedback in a timely manner.
• Analytically curious to uncover data driven insights.
