The Opportunity

Everyday Health Professional is looking for a Director, market intelligence & Audience Insights. This role provides analysis, insights, and strategic recommendations related to the healthcare and digital media industry to inform business decision making and steering. The Director’s input is critical to allow the business to understand and harness market and customer trends to increase sales, identify new products and verticals, and to grow market share.

The Director’s key contributions include ongoing evaluation of internal data and market trends, evidence-based thought leadership, and fueling organizational growth.

As such, the Director must have strong analytical skills, communicate successfully in both verbal and written form, and be highly organized.

Key Responsibilities
• Designs and executes internal data analysis, informed by forward thinking in the context of a multi-faceted industry (e.g., digital advertising, pharmaceutical trends, legislative changes related to life sciences marketing regulation and digital privacy protection, needs and sentiments among healthcare professionals). Data analysis may include prescribing trends, HCP survey execution and analysis, site performance analysis, and product performance studies, etc.
• Assists product development efforts related to long-term market analysis including pharma and HCP trends, as well as the overall digital media industry
• Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to understand key media, editorial and audience insights
• Insights inform both digital media future product roadmap planning and new vertical identification/business development
• Critical team member in working to ensure EDH Pro achieves and maintains a leadership position in understanding market and audience insights to drive innovative solutions in the healthcare digital media industry
• Industry thought leadership, including externally-facing efforts such as development of white papers and industry articles, industry conference/panel participation, as well as internally-facing efforts to support business efforts to delight existing clients and attract new ones, and to identify business and operational optimizations

Job Qualifications
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in analytics and insights gathering, ideally within the field of HCP promotion or medical education, with a focus on digital products, platforms, and/or media.
• Analytical and conceptual thinking demonstrated by the ability to effectively identify patterns or key concepts in disparate information, trends and discrepancies, and in ability to pull together ideas/issues and data into a concise story
• Passion for new and emerging technologies and an understanding of how they can be applied to benefit businesses.
• Strives to constantly drive deeper market and audience understanding, applying knowledge to all product strategies and vehicles; able to help build market/audience knowledge intimacy across all functions
• Envisions long-term growth opportunities and is able to identify the top key factors driving product performance; ability to build key concepts and trends into strategic vision with an external focus on gaining a competitive advantage and driving advances in pipeline development

Responsibilities:

Serves as the Process coordinator for select accounts and is responsible for assisting with day-to-day guidance and implementation of projects through the approval and triage process. • Helps review creative revisions to copy and final art to ensure materials meet client requirements
• Assists in the preparation of custom asset submissions; including: annotating files, testing assets in staging prior to submissions, tagging and annotating within client submission systems
• Assists in evaluating adequate presence and size of fair balance in relationship to claims being made
• Assists with submission readiness that includes substantiated claims, functional explanations, and ensures referencing that conforms to AMA Style Guide
• Learns and maintains a knowledge base regarding promotional compliance within Pharma marketing
• Helps to write and update specific brand guidelines, incorporating client medical/legal/regulatory requirements and feedback
• Attends training for various client submission systems and understands client’s regulatory submission process and timelines
• Helps to review creative copy documents for custom assets and understands the purpose/intent
• Helps to check graphs, charts and tables to ensure data is displayed clearly, correctly and mathematical calculations are accurate
• Proactively addresses issues, gaps, options for optimal and timely submissions and approvals
• Works on multiple programs, prioritizes work effectively and communicates clearly and professionally
