The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is searching for an Executive Assistant to the Dean.
Responsibilities:
The Executive Assistant (EA) works closely with the Dean on virtually every aspect of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). In particular, the EA serves as confidential assistant maintaining CLAS records managing confidential personnel and credential files, preparing information for distribution to faculty members and students, and managing the dean's calendar. All of these tasks are done independently. Under the dean's direct supervision, the EA manages CLAS's budget and purchases in WorkDay on a daily basis and prepares faculty contracts. The EA assists in budget preparation and distributes funds to faculty members and departments. The EA also independently organizes college-wide meetings and social events on the dean's behalf (much of this is done beyond the realms of the normal work day).
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and one year of prior administrative support experience is required. In lieu of education, equivalent directly relevant experience will be considered. Candidates should know how to use Word for document preparation; Excel to maintain budget, research and development of expense reports; and Outlook to manage office calendars; must have the ability to learn WorkDay budget system and other Mercer-specific IT.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Knows Mercer procedures to support faculty/staff hiring, schedule management, and fiscal reporting; knows CLAS processes to support dean in organizing faculty meetings, committee work, and other Handbook-related activities;
• Adept at planning coordinating and facilitating faculty events on a large scale (e.g. Chairs/Directors Retreat, End-of-Year Appreciation Dinner, New Faculty Orientation, etc.);

Job Details:
The Director of Video Broadcast will lead the day-to-day video operations and broadcasting content for the Mercer Athletics Department.
Responsibilities:
This position coordinates the activities of the athletics video & broadcasting staff for the production of live content, which includes, but is not limited to: work within the broadcast team to produce live, multi-camera broadcast of athletics contests, ensuring all broadcast fulfill conference and ESPN production standards & regulations; manage gameday freelance and student staff; handle live video coverage of various events such as press conferences, special announcements and special events; assist with the setup, in-game direction and upkeep of all video boards and broadcasting equipment at athletics facilities; assist with any issues with the in-game stream/broadcast and video boards in a timely fashion; help train freelance and student crews to serve as camera operators and/or others roles on the production staff to work games, and other special events; work collaboratively with other external affairs staff on the creation and timing of video board content to be displayed during games and other special events; manage relationships with external broadcast partners such as ESPN+ in the preparation and production of live broadcasts; and assist with crewing and payroll for student and freelance workers.
Additionally, this position assists in creating content to be used during game broadcasts, video boards, and special events. This includes, but is not limited to: producing, coordinating, and editing featured content for Mercer athletics broadcasts, such as halftime features, coaches' interviews, player profiles, etc.; producing in-game videos and graphics for in-venue video boards; and working collaboratively with other external staff on the creation and timing of video board & broadcasting content to be displayed during games and other special events.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Telecommunications, Sport Management, Marketing, or a related field and one year of sports video production, videography, and editing experience including in-game/in-event setup and operation are required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• An understanding of video editing and using software, such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere.
• Experience with control room equipment, specifically but not limited to Ross Carbonite switcher, Ross Xpression graphics.
• Working knowledge and experience working within a broadcast crew in various roles (technical directing, directing, producing, graphics, replay operation, camera operation, audio, etc.).
• Proficiency with control room equipment. Equipment knowledge includes switchers, instant replay, clips server, audio mixers, audio communication systems, streaming services and cameras.
• Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes, media and vendors.
