Major Responsibilities

1. Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the time designated

2. Follow the daily schedule provided by the classroom teacher or designee

3. Monitor students in accordance with the IEP and teacher direction

4. Manage allotted learning time to maximize student achievement

5. Present the subject matter according to guidelines established by Texas Education Agency, board policies and administrative regulations

6. Evaluate and provide feedback on student progress during instruction

7. Present for students a positive role model that supports the mission of the school district

9. Use acceptable communication skills to present information accurately and clearly to colleagues, students, parents and community

Must be able to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and students. Ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies is required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

RN or LVN in the state of Texas

Experience in community and/or pediatric nursing preferred

Current CPR certification

Certification in vision, hearing and spinal screening recommended
