Prepare solutions and reagents required for lab exercises.
Clean equipment and check for operating condition before putting them out for
labs.
Return all reagents, solutions, materials, and equipment to their appropriate
storage areas after each lab exercise
Wipe down lab benches and restock paper towels

Wash glassware and plasticware

Maintain record of hours worked in each pay period

Practice proper lab techniques with regard to safety

2. Aquatics Room Assistants:
Daily feedings (if assigned)
Daily use and upkeep of log books (if assigned)
Periodic maintenance of tanks, equipment, and room
Periodic chemical testing of tanks
Weekly scrubbing of tanks, equipment, and rinsing of filter cartridges

Quarantining sick animals, caring for them, as appropriate
Periodic cleaning of mammal cages (if assigned)
Sweeping, mopping, general organizing, and housekeeping
Periodic cleaning of room's air vents (with broom)
Assisting in breeding animals when required by courses
Controlling animal population by segregating adult animals on the basis of
gender
Quarantining new animals to ensure they are in good health before introducing
them to the general animal population

Daily monitoring and potential watering of plants based on need (if assigned
Daily maintenance of greenhouse temperature by use of temperature log,

Periodic repotting – in response to increased size of plant and/or depletion

Millersville University of Pennsylvania is recruiting for multiple full-time,
9 month, Dining Services Food Service Worker 1 positions. Assignments could be
in the dish room, kitchen, vegetable preparation area, serving areas, dining
rooms, deli/convenience stores, catering and receiving.

Annual Salary: $14.98/hour ($1,123.50 bi-weekly) with potential for
additional hours over the summer plus comprehensive benefits starting on the
first day of employment, with coverage for the entire year, including:
• Health insurance – Low bi-weekly premium. Employees pay 5% of bi-
weekly salary for benefit coverage with ability to pay 2.5% when
participating in the wellness program.
• Dental insurance – Coverage is free to employee and dependents after
90 days.
• Vision insurance – Coverage is free to employee and dependents after
90 days.
• Group life insurance – equal to annual salary at no cost to the
employee.
• Retirement – 2 plans to choose from.
• Tuition waiver – employee, spouse, and dependents are eligible.

• Unload carts and trucks of food products weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Push and pull typical food service industry carts containing food products. When assigned to Receiving, the food service worker 1 will be frequently lifting 30 to 40 pounds. This will be required approximately sixty percent (60%) or more of the scheduled hours in Receiving.
• Read and understand basic recipes and reports used in the food service operation.
• Work safely with basic food service equipment such as knives, slicers, and mixers.
• SAFETY
• Work safely by using Personal Protective Equipment, maintaining equipment, following safety procedures and policies, etc..
• Leave the work area clean and functional at the end of shift.
• Be aware of and report any potential safety hazards to supervisor or management immediately.
• Cooperate with safety investigations and audits.
• Attend safety training sessions and maintain licenses, certifications, etc.

students to serve as peer mentors. Peer Mentors are enthusiastic

is really like to be a student at MU, how to manage time effectively, how to
get involved on campus, and other questions related to the college transition.
