• Strong presentation and verbal skills. Able to communicate ideas and recommendations in both written and verbal forms across all levels of the organization in a clear manner

Position Summary
The mine utility serves as a resource on either day or night shift capable of operating multiple pieces of mining equipment and supporting mine development projects. Employees must be available for either shift. Employee is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Mandatory Minimum Standards Required, within his/her sphere of influence. This may or may not include compliance with any air permits, waste water permits, storm water permits, or other rules as presented to the employee as requirements.
This position starts out at $24.75/hour with increases as you gain competencies in the position. Benefits begin the first of the month after you start.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Must be competent in the safe and efficient operation of the following:
1. Driving of 40 ton class haul truck by making approximately 25 trips per day into and out of the underground mine (depending on haul distance and down time) to remove and dump tons of marble/rock.
2. Operation of Large Front End Loader (6 yard class), both loading trucks underground and feeding the crusher system on the surface as well as the hydraulic excavator/breaker hammer & motor grader, water truck, etc.
3. Must be trained to operate Crushing System – be able to start/stop the system and prefer individual to attend Smoke School and become certified.
4. Cross trains and proficiently learn to operate other mining equipment.

The Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety consists of four programs: the Coal Regulatory program, the Minerals Regulatory program, the Inactive Mine Reclamation program, and Mine Safety and Training program. The division is committed to balance the need for mineral resource production with protection of the public, environment and Colorado's natural resources. The mission of DRMS is to protect the public, miners and the environment during current mining operations, restore abandoned mines, and to ensure that all mined land is reclaimed to beneficial use.
This Mine Safety Training Program (MTSP) exists to implement and enforce CRS §24-4-101, §24-4-102, and §24-4-103 and the Coal Mine Health and Safety Rules and Regulations of the Coal Mine Board of Examiners (CMBE). The MTSP also to prevent accidents and save lives by protecting those exposed to hazards in and around mines. This is accomplished through educating and training new miners, inspecting mines and conducting safety audits, regulating the use of underground mining equipment, and certifying mining equipment. The MTSP also trains mine rescue teams and conducts mine rescue conferences and contests.
This work unit exists to prevent accidents and save lives, protecting those exposed to hazards in and around mines; implement mine safety training and education programs in collaboration with mine operators, miners, and county officials; to assist in complying with Mine Safety and Health Administration and state mine safety and health regulations; to assist in complying with Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives regulations regarding the safe use and storage of explosives; to test and certify coal mine officials to conduct duties required by federal law; to inspect tourist mines and protect the public and tour mine operators from hazards that occur in their operations; to train and protect mine rescuers to prevent mine emergencies and respond quickly and effectively to a mine emergency when it occurs to saves lives and protect property. 48 required training. Assisting mining companies, and contractors with relevant training. Provides direction to miners, mine operators and contractors regarding certified duties and how to obtain certification.
• Reviews mine safety laws, statutes, rules and regulations to provide up-to-date direction to staff, the public and private entities
Inspect tourist mines, active and inactive mines to identify and recommend mitigation of hazards to protect persons:Inspects tourist mines, active mines, and inactive mines to protect miners and the general public from hazards such as unstable ground, dangerous mine openings, contaminated atmospheres, the potential for fire and explosion, and other conditions that cause accidents or threaten life.
• Enforce compliance with federal and state statutes, rules and regulations, where appropriate.
• Provides safety assessments of mine sites to identify the hazards and advises peers, managers, mine employees, and other agencies, as appropriate, of the risks, vulnerabilities, and expected dangers to be found at the mine site or during emergency response to selected sites.

The mission of DRMS is to protect the public, miners and the environment during current mining operations, restore abandoned mines, and to ensure that all mined land is reclaimed to beneficial use.
This Mine Safety Training Program (MTSP) exists to implement and enforce CRS §24-4-101, §24-4-102, and §24-4-103 and the Coal Mine Health and Safety Rules and Regulations of the Coal Mine Board of Examiners (CMBE). The MTSP also to prevent accidents and save lives by protecting those exposed to hazards in and around mines. This is accomplished through educating and training new miners, inspecting mines and conducting safety audits, regulating the use of underground mining equipment, and certifying mining equipment. The MTSP also trains mine rescue teams and conducts mine rescue conferences and contests.
This work unit exists to prevent accidents and save lives, protecting those exposed to hazards in and around mines; implement mine safety training and education programs in collaboration with mine operators, miners, and county officials; to assist in complying with Mine Safety and Health Administration and state mine safety and health regulations; to assist in complying with Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives regulations regarding the safe use and storage of explosives; to test and certify coal mine officials to conduct duties required by federal law; to inspect tourist mines and protect the public and tour mine operators from hazards that occur in their operations; to train and protect mine rescuers to prevent mine emergencies and respond quickly and effectively to a mine emergency when it occurs to saves lives and protect property. Designs and Conducts state and federally compliant mine safety and health training:Develops and conducts mine safety and health training, including new miner,
annual refresher, instructor, mine rescue, and mine emergency training. In compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provides individualized training to address the specific health and safety needs of miners or contractors, including relevant mine safety and health requirements and best practices.
• Reviews and maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of federal and state mine safety and health regulations.
• Reviews and assesses the effectiveness of safety procedures at mine sites and develops and conducts safety programs assist miners in taking responsibility for their own safety. Creates clear, effective training materials and assists operators in reviewing safe job procedures for high risk and high incident occupations.
• Completes accident and citation analysis on mining operations to pinpoint problems and help find effective solutions.
• Participates in the design, creation, production and distribution of new, innovative mine safety and health training resources.
Developing training and study materials to conduct part 46 and 48 complant training:Upon request provides expertise and guidance regarding the MSHA part 46 and
48 required training. Assisting mining companies, and contractors with relevant training. Provides direction to miners, mine operators and contractors regarding certified duties and how to obtain certification.
• Reviews mine safety laws, statutes, rules and regulations to provide up-to-date direction to staff, the public and private entities
Inspect tourist mines, active and inactive mines to identify and recommend mitigation of hazards to protect persons:Inspects tourist mines, active mines, and inactive mines to protect miners and the general public from hazards such as unstable ground, dangerous mine openings, contaminated atmospheres, the potential for fire and explosion, and other conditions that cause accidents or threaten life.
• Enforce compliance with federal and state statutes, rules and regulations, where appropriate.
• Provides safety assessments of mine sites to identify the hazards and advises peers, managers, mine employees, and other agencies, as appropriate, of the risks, vulnerabilities, and expected dangers to be found at the mine site or during emergency response to selected sites.

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in mining engineering, geology, hydrology, engineering or other related field.

Two (2) years equivalent experience within the mining industry.

What you will do:
• Perform all work in a safe and controlled manner, adhering to safety and environmental policies
• Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Nutrien, OSHA, MSHA, and MARSEC guidelines
• Use proper Personal Protection Equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear plugs

This position will report to the Shift Supervisor in the Mill.
What you will do:
• Perform all work in a safe and controlled manner, adhering to safety and environmental policies
• Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Nutrien, OSHA, MSHA, and MARSEC guidelines
• Use proper Personal Protection Equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear plugs
• Work as a productive team member to complete assignments, support continuous improvement, and minimize down-time
• Receive cross-training as required
• Perform work from elevated structures, ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and man-baskets
• Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to bulldozers, skidders, excavators, and haul trucks in support of mining operations
• Communicate with Maintenance or Electricians to perform Energy Isolation and permitting of equipment at the jobsite when maintenance or repairs are required
• Spend 1/3 of time on the primary task of production by reviewing and monitoring acid parameters
• Spend 1/3 of time on activities relating to following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure proper shutdown and startup of production systems
• Spend approximately 5% of time on conducting on-site inspections of the production plant/assigned area and work vicinity, inspections to the production components such as, pumps, pond levels, and support equipment
• Spend approximately 30% of time on other assigned duties and task training
• Be able to perform in a high-performance culture
• Be able to work 12-hour rotating shift

Compensation & Benefits:

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follow safe work procedures and best practices.

• Responsible for employee training and development in the Mine Operations department. Specific activities include staffing, training staff, progression plan administration, work practices, skills development, available mine equipment and production plan commitments.
• Oversee execution of a mine plan, including continual technical and procedural improvements in mine operations to ensure achievement of a predictable Life of Mine plan, production volume and ore quality in order to meet deadlines and cost goals.
• Development of all mine operations expense and capital budgets, including workforce planning.
• Evaluate, coordinate, and implement all phases of mining activities including drilling and blasting, waste removal, water management, and ore haulage.
• Develop and adhere to all mine related capital and operating expense budgets.
• Work collaboratively with mine maintenance, mine engineering, support services, human resources, safety, supply chain, finance, and process areas to achieve all business plan objectives.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and damage or delays, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
• Utilize external support services as required.
• Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
• Minimum of ten years in a senior mine management/operations capacity in a copper or equivalent base or precious metals open pit operation holding increasing levels of responsibility.
• Bachelor of Science in Mining, Geological or Civil Engineering. Equivalent experience (15 years or greater) is acceptable in lieu of a technical degree.
• A valid Driver’s License.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
• An advanced degree and or MBA is desirable.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Knowledge of open pit operations including a strong problem solving ability in a technically difficult ore body.

The Mine Operations Manager is accountable for organizing, staffing, and managing the safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining operations of Robinson Nevada Mining Company. Ensure short and long-term budgeted productivity, quality, technical, cost, safety, training and environmental objectives are achieved in a union free workplace.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
• Enforce company and department safety and occupational health policies and MSHA regulations. Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment with a continuous focus on improving the safety cultures and safety performance of the mine.
• Responsible for employee training and development in the Mine Operations department. Specific activities include staffing, training staff, progression plan administration, work practices, skills development, available mine equipment and production plan commitments.
• Oversee execution of a mine plan, including continual technical and procedural improvements in mine operations to ensure achievement of a predictable Life of Mine plan, production volume and ore quality in order to meet deadlines and cost goals.
• Development of all mine operations expense and capital budgets, including workforce planning.
• Evaluate, coordinate, and implement all phases of mining activities including drilling and blasting, waste removal, water management, and ore haulage.
• Develop and adhere to all mine related capital and operating expense budgets.
• Work collaboratively with mine maintenance, mine engineering, support services, human resources, safety, supply chain, finance, and process areas to achieve all business plan objectives.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and damage or delays, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
• Utilize external support services as required.
• Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
• Minimum of ten years in a senior mine management/operations capacity in a copper or equivalent base or precious metals open pit operation holding increasing levels of responsibility.
• Bachelor of Science in Mining, Geological or Civil Engineering. Equivalent experience (15 years or greater) is acceptable in lieu of a technical degree.
• A valid Driver’s License.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
• An advanced degree and or MBA is desirable.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Knowledge of open pit operations including a strong problem solving ability in a technically difficult ore body.
• Strong Character with exceptional leadership and management skills.
• Must be highly motivated and have the ability to multi task in a highly dynamic production work team environment.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and government agencies.
• Strong safety commitment and improvement mindset.
• Moderate to advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project.
• Advanced knowledge of mine planning and geological related software programs.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
• Occasional, as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ability to listen to employees’ suggestions and concerns.
• Responsible for communicating goals and information to Mine Operation department employees.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and lead the Mine Operation team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Light: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly. Even when weight lifted is negligible, a job is rated light when: 1) it involves walking or standing to a significant degree: 2) it requires sitting most of the time but involves pushing and or pulling of arm or leg controls: 3) it involves working at a production rate that requires constant pushing or pulling of materials.
