Responsibilities
• Oversee and implement the strategic vision for Major League Soccer’s owned digital platforms working cross-functionally with earned and paid and other internal key collaborators to create a connected ecosystem of digital content, experiences and partnerships
• Develop and implement a successful yearly strategic plan, driven by a mix of audience data and creativity, while promoting cross-functional collaboration to activate this plan.
• Partnering closely with MLS Media leadership, serve a point role in creating cross-functional connection and long-term digital strategy to support MLS Season Pass - MLS’ Apple TV+ platform for match streaming and programmed content.
• Help lead further integration into Apple’s digital ecosystem.
• Own the strategy and execution of annual digital campaign plans across the League’s digital ecosystem, partnering cross-functionally on key moments, partnerships, data strategy, ecommerce and League initiatives to produce collaborative plans.
• In partnership with the VP of Digital, revise MLS Digital’s yearly planning and governance process. Champion digital marketing across the League as a connector and driver of change.
• Drive accountability through clear, consistent metrics aligned to brand and business needs.
• Oversee and develop a team, including leading our Digital Club Services team which is the digital consultative arm serving each MLS club, creating connection back to the League and promoting digital excellence.
• Effectively manage an independent budget with clear performance accountability.
• Coordinate appropriate check-ins for digital marketing campaigns across the League and aggregating from Clubs for greater visibility.
• Partner closely with emerging media, gaming and similar teams to create connective tissue within the entire digital fan experience.
• Represent MLS Digital and collaborate on the development of event-specific content, engagement opportunities and coverage plans for Major League Soccer’s tentpole events such as MLS SuperDraft, MLS is Back, MLS All-Star Game, MLS Cup Playoffs and MLS Cup.
• Manage a team of direct reports inclusive of MLS Digital Strategists, Digital Club Services and future platform teams.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree a plus.
• 10+ years’ experience in a digital strategy, integrated marketing and/or media; preferably within an internal brand environment. Direct experience supporting both brand and business initiatives through digital channels.
• 3+ years’ experience in team management across varying levels of marketing and/or digital professionals.
• Experience working in sports, or adjacent, is required.

Total Rewards
