The Sourcing team provides legal services related to the procurement of technology, consulting, and related products and services for MoneyGram’s segments and functions across the enterprise. The Sourcing Legal team works with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure that all legal, regulatory, data security, privacy, and related risks are appropriately identified and addressed in third party supplier contracts.

Primary Responsibilities
• Draft, negotiate, and advise on contracts related to matters including, but not limited to, IT, Marketing, Product, HR and Finance, outsourcing, and other vendor contracts.
• Provide legal advice on data protection matters and assist with reviewing template data protection clauses.
• Responsible for the negotiation, drafting and review of standard agreements (and non-standard agreements) with the relevant business teams and internal business stakeholders with limited supervision.
• Provide advice to the business relating to routine matters, and/or assisting in resolving legal problems which may represent potential exposure to the company,
• Coordinate with other company departments for providing advice on such laws and supports the implementation of any required changes (Privacy, Tax, Compliance, etc.).
• Responsible for on-going management of all vendor agreements, including audit of vendor performance against contractual obligations and Service Level Agreement, change of control management, renewals, issue escalation and vendor dispute resolution.
• Assist in the development of policies, processes, and procedures to govern outsourcing and vendor risk management and contract management processes throughout their lifecycle and providing training on vendor legal risk related matters to internal business clients.

Any combination of relevant education and experience and/or related professional designations/certifications in this field is highly desirable.

Qualifications:
• Minimum Required: Appropriate legal qualification and admission to practice law in relevant jurisdiction.
• 1-3 years' experience functioning as an attorney in a law firm or as in-house legal counsel.
• Experience negotiating complex agreements relating to or consisting of master terms and conditions, software licensing, SaaS engagements, outsourcing, consulting, etc.
• Ability to prioritize matters and utilize time management skills.

Job Summary

The Assistant General Counsel provides advice and assistance to corporate management, the Associate General Counsel, and others in managing the daily issues that have a legal impact on the MoneyGram business. The incumbent will be responsible for providing comprehensive employment and benefits legal advice across multiple jurisdictions to designated HR Business partners, head of departments responsible for HR related matters, internal legal department members, as well as other business units where appropriate. Additionally, the incumbent in this position will oversee global employment matters including preparation and advice regarding severance agreements, retention/custom employee agreements, EEOC charges, employment litigation, whistleblower claims, whistleblower law compliance, immigration support, internal committee matters, union activities/requirements, recruiting legal compliance across all the states. • Supports the line manager by assisting in the provision of general corporate and commercial legal and regulatory advice across designated teams.
