We are looking for a Temporary Meter Reader 1st 6 Months to join the Xcel Energy team in Grand... Junction, Colorado.

Summary
Reads residential and commercial gas and electric meters, enters information into handheld computer system; reports irregularities, ability to communicate with customers; reports hazardous conditions to appropriate department, requires approximately 10-12 miles of fast paced walking per day and entering customer premises. Does require dealing with various terrains and animals. Job does require exposure to in climate weather, flexibility, and teamwork. Individual must be safety conscious.

Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk 10-12 miles per day
- Previous customer service experience.
- High level of accuracy and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Requires a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle to be used for the meter reading assignments.
- Knowledge of handheld computers helpful.
