This includes supporting all five colleges across MSUB by providing outstanding customer service and guidance to matriculate prospective students and their families from their first inquiry to enrollment.

Be a recruiter for the University by attending college fairs and visiting high schools and other colleges; communicating with prospects and their parents by phone, email, mailings, and other correspondence; creating and editing publications for students; supervising students and volunteers assisting with recruitment functions; training new Admissions Representatives; and developing relationships with a variety of campus and community representatives.

Montana State University Billings is a comprehensive public four-year higher education institution located in Montana’s largest population center, whose faculty is actively engaged in teaching, research, creative endeavors and public service. MSU Billings is unique in that it is one of a select few higher education institutions that also boasts an embedded two-year community college.

The University opened in 1927 and was initially called Eastern Montana State Normal School at Billings and was established to prepare teachers for elementary schools in eastern Montana. Duties and Responsibilities

Ceramic Lecturer duties include a teaching load of 3/ 4 and responsible for studio management, equipment maintenance, materials purchasing and budgeting, work-study supervision, and consultation for ceramic studio in a new 3D Art Studio building. This position is renewable for a successful candidate.

The Assessment and Accreditation Specialist is responsible for performing specialized duties related to program and institutional accreditation and assessment. The Specialist will assist Department Chairs and Faculty with accreditation reporting and visits. This position will also provide support for ongoing institutional accreditation activities as necessary. The person in this position will work with student support centers/programs to assist with their assessment activities when appropriate and provide ongoing consultation regarding the assessment process. This position will also provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging and scheduling meetings, and taking meeting minutes.

This position requires a candidate with an advanced skill set in project management, communications, and critical thinking. The person best suited for this position will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. This person will provide information, and respond to questions from faculty, staff and occasionally students. In this position, a high level of discipline is required, as they will be communicating with people from all levels and all over the University. Other important skills necessary for this position are computer and office skills, the ability to work with software, is detail oriented, and able to meet deadlines. Strategic thinking and creative problem solving are essential for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Lecturer in English position will be primarily responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in English composition as well as LIT 305 (Literature by and about Native Americans) with the possibility of teaching other literature courses during the academic year, and will also hold the position of Writing Program Coordinator, which includes peer reviews of composition instructors, meeting with instructors, overseeing composition in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. The workload for this position will be 24 credits for the year with reassigned time for the position of Writing Program Coordinator, for a total of 18 credits/3 courses per semester.

Brief Position OverviewThe Assistant Athletic Director of Communications in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Operations and Communications. In conjunction with the goals and vision of the University, the Assistant Athletic Director of Communications helps develop and assists with an athletic communications program which successfully promotes MSU Billings student-athletes, coaches and the athletics department in all appropriate venues and increases public participation in local, state and national recognition of Yellowjacket Athletics. Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversees statistical reporting for assigned sports to meet NCAA and Great Northwest Athletic Conference requirements.
• Oversees organization and coordination of press box and media area activities for assigned sports.
• Assists with sports media relation strategies and manages/directs communication/operations staff and graduate/student assistants.
• Updates www.msubsports.com website with timely and accurate information, including game accounts, features, announcements and news.
• Assists with oversight of the athletics work study program and helps ensure all home athletic events are staffed adequately.
• Assists with game/event direction at all home athletic events.
• Assists with management of on-site logistics for athletic events, such as setting up the gym/field for game day, and coordinating all needs with officials, coaches, teams, workers, sponsors, etc.
• Develops public service and in-game announcements for promotions.
• Assists with the promotion of ticket sales and special events.
• Assists in the planning process of all major sporting events hosted by MSUB. Examples include NCAA West Region Championships events, GNAC Championships events, and the D2CCA Tip Off basketball tournament.
• Supports the Associate Athletic Director for Operations and Communications in implementing marketing strategies.
• Engages the university community by participating in campus activities to build relationships to impact the athletic program in a positive manner.
• Assists in the planning and execution of luncheons, banquets, award ceremonies, media days, press conferences, etc.
• Assists with the Yellowjacket Hall of Fame & Distinction, collecting nominations and completing research on nominees.
• Assists in the planning and execution of The Buzzies, MSUB’s annual awards ceremony program.
• Works in conjunction with the Associate Athletic Director for Operations and Communications to manage budgets and allocate resources in an effective manner.
• Assists with MSUB’s social networking presence including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, and develops content and ideas surrounding strategic social media campaigns.
• Assists in graphic design efforts specifically related to MSUB’s social media presence.
• Assists in promoting MSU Billings student-athletes, coaches, and sports through a variety of media, advertising, promotional, public relations and marketing strategies.
• Assists the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Development with marketing and promotional graphics, and season ticket holder logistics at athletic events.
• Writes and disseminates news and feature articles on MSU Billings athletic programs, events, student-athletes and coaches.
• Promotes positive media relations with local, state and national news organizations and coordinates coach and student-athlete appearances with media.
• Assists with preparation of athletic publications, including posters, brochures, game programs, advertisements, media guides, and newsletters.
• Compiles statistical and historical information on individual athletes and teams. Prepares information and reports for the NCAA and GNAC. Updates record books and player biographies for assigned sports promptly upon completion of each season.
• Assists in the maintenance of a system of files and record keeping of statistics, sports news, clippings, photos, and Athletic Department historical and biographical libraries.
• Assists with the oversight of the athletics reader board and utilizes other means of campus advertising in conjunction with University Relations.
• Assists with external calendars of athletic events and maintains internal calendar to meet deadlines for media guides and other publications.
• Assists in gameday broadcasts on the Yellowjacket Sports Network as a play-by-play or color commentator. *Supports the Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations in efforts to raise funds and monetary support for MSU Billings Athletics.
• Travels with MSU Billings athletic teams, when appropriate, and handles related media relations on the road.
• Nominates student-athletes for academic and athletic honors, scholarships and awards in conjunction with coaches and staff.
• Assists with coordination of special projects as designated by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Required Qualifications –

Education Required:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, advertising, or closely related field.

Experience Required:
• Up to 2 years minimum of experience in the athletics communications field.
• Competent with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Stat Crew knowledge and experience in volleyball, baseball, softball, basketball and soccer.

Preferred Qualifications –

Education Preferred:
• Master’s degree in related field.

Experience Preferred:
• Experience in sports marketing.
• Experience in sports information, communications, marketing and/or public relations.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, Light

Room, etc.).
• Experience in NCAA Live Stats programs for volleyball, baseball, softball, basketball and soccer.
• Experience conducting on-camera interviews both as a third-party and as an on- camera host.

The Successful Candidate Will
• Strong writing background with proven experience in game reporting, feature article writing, and other forms of sportswriting.
• Knowledge of print, broadcast, and web communications principles and strategies.

• Knowledge of sports and athletic programs.
• Competence in Stat Crew software and NCAA Live Stats programs for the following sports: Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, and Softball.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform administrative, financial and resource management duties of the Montana Center for Inclusive Education and the College of Education.
• Review all Youth Program forms and makes revisions as needed.
• Develop new youth programming based on community feedback.
• Ensure all needs of the youth programs are met effectively, efficiently, accurately with satisfying results, gather information, conduct research, and compile data for reporting and decision- making needs.
• Participate in strategic decision-making and in the administration of operating policies and procedures impacting effective youth programming in the Montana Center and the College of Education.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating youth projects.
• Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive records.

• Create appropriate paperwork for expense reimbursements, vendor payments, sponsorships, budget adjustments, budget expenditure corrections and hospitality forms in a timely manner.

• Create, process and record travel documents; travel authorizations and expense vouchers.
• Record purchase card charges and submit appropriate paperwork to Business Services.
• Budget short-term and part-time positions and is compliant with budget projections.

• Advertise and recruit Youth Program Instructors.
• Establish and grow a contact list of willing and effective Instructors of Youth Programs.

Brief Position Overview The clinical lecture position is a full-time faculty appointment with teaching and service responsibilities in the Health and Human Performance Department. In addition to teaching courses in the professional Athletic Training Program and Health and Human Performance (12 credits per academic year) this person will also serve as a clinical athletic trainer for MSUB Athletics (20hours/week). The primary responsibilities as a clinical athletic trainer include overseeing the rehabilitation programs for student athletes, providing athletic training healthcare services as well as occasional clinic and local event coverage. This position will have minimal travel requirements with travel needing pre-approval by the HHP department.

This position is a 9 month position, however paid stipend or per diem opportunities for clinical work before, during, or after the academic year may be an opportunity for the person in this position.

Serve as Clinical Preceptor for Athletic Training Students
• Supervise and mentor athletic training students

Required Qualifications –
• BOC Certified Athletic Trainer
• Current or ability to obtain MT licensure
• Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field
• Three (3) years clinical experience
• Effective communication skills
• Good time management skills with the ability transition from tasks quickly, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality
• Collaborative, detailed oriented, ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications –
• Additional professional certifications (e.g., manual therapies)
• Teaching experience
• Previous experience with rehabilitation and manual therapies

Duties and Responsibilities

The Computer Systems Technology Department of City College at Montana State University Billings seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach Freshman and Sophomore courses in Computer Programming and Application Development. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and practical work experience in a field related to computer programming and show evidence of the ability to teach these skills to students. The ability to teach courses both on campus and online is required. Candidates will have the opportunity to engage in service to the college, university, and community. Successful candidates must have demonstrated experience within the fields and technologies outlined under required qualifications (below); teaching experience is preferred.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Professional experience with one or more of the following fields/technologies:
• Database (MySQL, SQL Server, SQLite)
• Web Development (HTML, CSS, JS, Front- and Back-end technologies or frameworks, PHP)
• Application Development (C#/.NET, Java, Python, Android)
• Ability to work with a diverse population of students
• Ability to integrate technology into the curriculum

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
• Experience teaching at a two-year technical or community college
• Higher education teaching experience in both online and face to face courses
• Management skills for collaborative projects and partnerships
