Position Summary

Join an Office of Admissions team that is enthusiastic about
promoting access to higher education by supporting prospective and
incoming Metropolitan State University of Denver Roadrunners. The
Admissions Counselor – On Campus is a member of the recruitment
team within the Office of Admissions and contributes to the MSU
Denver Mission to provide a high-quality, accessible, enriching
education that prepares students for successful careers,
post-graduate education and lifelong learning in a multicultural,
global and technological society.

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Transfer
Services, this position shares broad recruitment and enrollment
responsibilities with other members of the Office of Admissions.
This position is a key player in the recruitment and outreach
efforts of the university and provides counseling to prospective
students (with a heavy emphasis on transfer and adult learners),
applicants, and admitted students to assist the university in
meeting enrollment goals. This role will provide direct customer
service and support to students seeking enrollment at MSU Denver in
the form of in person meetings, email communication, and phone
support.

Duties/Responsibilities

45% – Recruitment & Outreach
• Conducts directed follow-up activities and communications for
targeted prospective students, applicants, and newly admitted
students via email, mail, phone, text, and CRM systems, including
call campaigns and regular walk-in student appointments
• Assists with execution of on-campus recruitment related events
such as campus visits and presentations, group tours and
bi-institutional events, and open houses. This can entail
presenting to large audiences and providing general support for the
events.
• Helps develop social media content for prospective students,
applicants, and new admits.

45% –Counseling
• Provides admissions counseling and academic planning advice to
prospective students, applicants, and newly admitted students via
email, telephone, video conferencing, text, mail, and direct
in-office communication.
• Facilitates application and admission of students by working
closely with a variety of MSU Denver student services programs and
academic offices.
• Exercises professional judgment to interpret University
policies to advise prospective and new students about admission
procedures, transfer of credits, University policies, the financial
aid processes, scholarships, program requirements, registration,
tuition classification, and available student support
services.

10% – Additional Duties
• Represents the Office of Admissions on internal and external
committees and organizations related to the recruitment and
admission of students.
• Represent MSU Denver at off campus recruitment visits and
events
• Upholds and interprets the standards of ethical practice in
university admissions to assist with broad recruitment activities.
Assists in the preparation of surveys and questionnaires
distributed by the Office of Admissions to determine the
effectiveness of our programs and services.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• A minimum of 1-year experience working in higher education,
secondary education, or student engagement organization (student
employment may satisfy this requirement)
• Strong written communication skills
• Strong phone and verbal communication skills

Communications

The Director of Brand Strategy oversees cohesive and consistent
branding efforts for all units within the University structure
including: colleges/schools, departments, programs, and offices,
ensuring alignment and consistency of brand messaging and visual
presentation, as well as proper adherence to established brand
guidelines. Additionally, the Director oversees materials created
by external vendors to ensure deliverables align with MSU Denver’s
overall brand image. The Director of Brand Strategy reports to the
Associate Vice President of Marketing and Brand.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct all brand assets to ensure accurate and consistent
implementation of MSU Denver brand.
• Work directly with external vendors, including art direction
and budget management.

Manage budgets and vendor bidding processes.
• Work with selected vendor(s) through duration of project(s) to
ensure deliverables are accomplished in a timely manner and within
budget.
• Serves as art director for the University’s alumni magazine,
RED as well as other signature university communications assets
which may include high level as well as branded templates,
advertising and print publications.
• Supervises Design Specialist and freelance designers. Coaches
and trains University Communications and Marketing team and campus
partners on brand content, tone and visual style.
• Collaborates with Brand Manager for trademark and licensing
initiatives.
• Collaborates with Marketing and Digital Strategy team for
branded creative assets in print, out-of-home, digital
advertisements and online/website applications to ensure brand
standards.
• Review all marketing materials, particularly in transition
stages, to ensure they are within brand.
• Providing critical feedback regarding brand consistency,
accuracy of brand implementation and overall aesthetics.
• Work with University Communications and Marketing team to
ensure that the brand is properly reflected in all University-level
marketing and communication platforms, which may include
advertising and continues to improve these programs.
• Work with University programs, departments and colleges/schools
to provide brand assets and design or templates as needed to ensure
that brand is properly reflected in all direct communication
campaigns (in all publications) and on the website.
• Continue to manage and improve, evolve and perfect the existing
university brand hierarchy, architecture, including updating MSU
Denver’s Brand Standards guidelines, brand website (Brand Central)

• Conduct Brand Orientation Meetings for University Departments
and design and participate in Brand Trainings for new employees and
Marketing Cohorts.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in fine arts with a major in communication
design or related field.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Illustrator
and Adobe InDesign.
• Seven to ten years professional experience in graphic design or
art direction related to brand development, implementation and
management with three years in a director level or higher
position.
• Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in brand implementation
and management, community relations and strategic
partnership/outreach strategy development.

Position Summary

MSU Denver’s TRIO Upward Bound program serves first generation,
under-resourced college bound students by generating the skills and
motivation necessary to complete high school and to enter and
succeed in a program of post-secondary education.

The Education Coordinator and Advisor supports the planning,
development, implementation and delivery of program instruction and
services related to the individual academic development needs, as
well as building skill mastery for all TRIO High School Upward
Bound participants. The position provides educational and college
preparatory services to assist high school students by developing
curriculum and delivering supplemental instruction, including
delivery of seminars around study skills, SAT test-taking
strategies, and other college readiness subjects. In addition, the
position serves as an advisor for a cohort of high school
participants, provides coordination around recruitment, serves as a
community liaison to support service learning, supervises
University student staff and contributes to the data collection and
evaluation of program services. This position reports to the
Director and is funded through a federal grant.

35% – Program Development and Instructional Support
• Assess high school student needs and develop supplemental
instruction for after-school programming to support student
success
• Manage and oversee educational and enrichment programming for
the academic year component including the development of seminars
around skills-building and college prep and enrichment activities
to promote college readiness
• Provide instruction during after-school program in core
academic areas
• Identify service-learning opportunities for participants and
coordinate engagement
• Develop Summer Bridge seminars for recently graduated high

• Develop structures to support after-school and summer

20% – School and Community Liaison
• Promote and sustain new and existing relationships with school
counselors and teachers at target schools to support student
success
• Create connections with community-based organizations and
non-profit organizations to identify service-learning opportunities
for high school participants
• In partnership with the TRIO team, support the recruitment
effort of new students, including hosting informational sessions,
conducting interviews, intake, and orientation, attending
recruiting events, follow-up outreach and the development of
structures to report recruitment efforts and outcomes

10% – University Student Staff Supervision
• Recruit, hire, manage compensation, and oversee training,
orientation of University student staff who serve as mentors during
the summer program

5% – Data Collection and Evaluation Support
• Administer, compile, and analyze Upward Bound and State
assessment tests; review and evaluate high school grade and
progress reports
• Ensure all student data is uploaded regularly in the Student
Access Database system, including the monitoring of participant
involvement in program services and work with administrative
support staff to maintain student and office records to ensure
student academic progress year-round

Under the direction of the Associate Director of Digital Content
Strategy, the Director of Digital Marketing and Content Strategy
and the Digital Services Specialist, this individual will
facilitate and support the University Communications and Marketing
( UCM) branch digital platforms to contribute to the overall
achievement of the University’s strategic plan. The Digital
Services Specialist will assist the UCM team by supporting internal
project management, advertising campaigns, news communications and
production as well as supporting campus partners (i.e. departments
and programs).

The Digital Services Specialist will be adept with digital content
platforms in support of UCM initiatives. Additionally, this
individual will facilitate and maximize efficiencies and improve
processes for quality content delivery. In doing so, the Digital
Services Specialist provides a seamless experience for those
seeking support and services and ensures digital content objectives
align with University strategic digital goals. This position will
be responsible for maintaining and working within a variety of
content monitoring and delivery platforms (e.g. WordPress,
SiteImprove, Google Analytics and others).

The Digital Services Specialist will engage in a client services
approach to support campus partner digital content strategy needs.
Through exceptional client service and training, this individual
will consult with both internal and external partners, including
vendors as required. Additionally, this team member will work in
conjunction with the Associate Director to establish platform
metrics and generate reports.

Duties/Responsibilities

Digital Content Platform support 60%

• Contribute to the organization, maintenance, administration and
management of UCM content platforms including implementation,
support, account management (e.g. Site Improve, Google Analytics,
Google Tag Manager, WordPress, SharePoint, MS Teams and
others).

• Identify and use platforms and channels to enhance UCM’s
strategic efforts – with a goal of streamlining process, content
management and project management.

• Support and train campus partners on various platforms, including
but not limited to WordPress, Google Analytics etc.

• Provide client support for university web authors as well as
internal UCM systems users.

Digital content strategy implementation and tracking
30%

• Support implementation of digital content metrics, analytics,
tracking across all platforms.

• Perform data analysis for presentations and reports for UCM
digital platforms.

• Monitor, audit and track digital platform content against quality
standards, ADA requirements and key performance indicators.

• Generate reports/presentations to identify key digital trends and
opportunities.

• Support digital strategy team by providing consistent and timely
responses to requests submitted through UCM intake processes.

• Produce web and other digital content utilizing enterprise
assets, content to meet UCM priorities

• Maintain organization of project files and documents

Other Duties 10%

• Support achievement of University mission, strategic goals, team
goals and individual goals

• Represent the digital strategy team in developing strong
connections across the unit and the University.

• Assist with on-going initiatives such as digital sustainability
efforts

• Participate in University-wide events

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, technical
communications, computer information systems or a related
field.
• At least two (2) years of professional experience in
marketing/communications or similar organization.
• Experience managing web/digital content applications in a
business, non-profit or higher education setting.
• Experience managing website content management systems
(WordPress, Joomla, or similar).
• Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and/or other PDF
creation and image editing tools.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, both application and
cloud-based collaboration platform.
• Familiarity with Website Content Accessibility Guidelines (
WCAG ) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices, Google
Analytics operation.
• Strong organizational abilities and a flexible approach to
changing priorities and workload.
• Experience producing and implementing compelling content for
the web.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with other employees and team members.
• Experience with interpersonal communication and relationship
building.
• Experience with customer/client support.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in system administration of digital content
platforms such as web content management, event management, web

This is a 3 year temporarily funded position

The salary range for this position is $41,200-$51,500.

fundable concepts. This will be in close collaboration with subject
matter experts across the university to describe how existing
solutions can be scaled and funded to advance MSU Denver’s
academic, research, and community service missions. This includes
securing innovative funding through potential real estate
development, campus infrastructure partnerships, collaboration with
existing Auraria campus institutions, as well as other visionary
means to pursue the university mission and meet the needs of the
campus. The Senior Director will provide the university’s
perspective in the greater Auraria shared campus master planning
process. This person will partner with the Campus Planner to
develop the university’s master plan in a way that advances the
university’s mission while building out the campus to blend into
Denver’s urban downtown setting.

The ideal candidate would be a solutions-oriented team player who
can work across a broad spectrum of internal and external
constituents to achieve results and lead cross-functional
development efforts (i.e. steering committees, task forces, working
groups, etc) as assigned by the CSO or president and represent the
university to external consultants.

Current projects being explored or developed include: the Health
Institute (simulation labs and tower), the Classroom to Career Hub,
and housing. Overall, the Senior Director will drive inclusive
design, decision-making, and development that ensures participation
and coordination among multiple internal and external MSU Denver
constituencies and stakeholders.

· Ability to consult with public and private partners, donors,
government agencies and foundations.

• Collaborates with the Online Learning team, academic advisors,
and other offices on campus to provide comprehensive support to
students in online programs.

• Monitors progress of students in online programs with check-ins,

questions, concerns, and needs.

• Utilizes data and monitors reports to drive proactive outreach
and communication.

• Conducts coaching through individual or group sessions that help
students assess their own performance and develop academic success
plans.

• Works with students to learn strong time management and

Position Summary

The Student Academic Services Specialist will support the
three programs (Tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, and Teaching
Assistant) under Student Academic Services. This position will
report to the Director of Student Academic Services while working

operations. This position will collaborate with other campus
constituents and entities to identify innovative models of academic
support that will best meet the needs of MSU Denver students. The
Student Academic Services Specialist will participate in relevant

Duties/Responsibilities

General Program Administration: (20%)

The Specialist will be responsible for the hiring and onboarding
process for Supplement Instruction Leaders and Mentors, Tutors, and
Teaching Assistants. They will also be responsible for general
administrative duties including participation trackers, the Master
Weekly tracker, Observation tracker, and Session Plan Feedback
tracker.

Training and Workshop Coordination: (30%)

The Specialist, working in conjunction with Coordinators and the
Director will create and facilitate training sessions for
Supplemental Instruction, Tutoring, and Teaching Assistants. This
includes planning session topics, creating materials for training
sessions, contacting and managing outside presenters. The
Specialist will work with the Supplemental Instruction Coordinator
to plan for Kick-Off, First Day Prep, Mentor, and Friday
trainings.

Observations of Student Staff: (25%)

The Student Academic Services Specialist will plan and implement
all aspects of the observation process for Supplemental Instruction
and Tutoring in collaboration with the Coordinators and with other
programs as appropriate.

Data Management and Strategic Planning: (10%)

This position will assist the Director and Coordinators with
setting unit goals, assessing student outcomes, and developing new
and innovative programming to support institutional priorities. The
Specialist will be responsible for collecting supplemental
instruction data, per the requirements of the International Center
for Supplemental Instruction, and work with the Director on
additional data projects for the Tutoring and Teaching Assistant
programs.

Marketing and Communication: (10%)

The Specialist will create innovative and collaborative ways to
help promote and brand the Student Academic Services department.
This collaboration may include speaking or presenting to students,
departments, and faculty. The Specialist will be responsible for
creating and updating program websites throughout the semester as
needed.

Professional Development and Other Duties as Assigned:
(5%)

The Specialist will remain current with regard to trends and
developments in higher education and academic support programs
through self-directed professional reading, the development of
professional contacts with colleagues, attendance at professional
development courses/ conferences, and trainings. The Specialist
will represent the interests of the Student Academic Services
Department and will perform additional duties as assigned by the
Director, including but not limited to service on various
University committees/task forces related to student retention and
academic support issues and/or event planning.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
• Experience providing training, coaching, and leadership
• Experience developing content for and facilitating trainings,
presentations, and workshops for groups or organizations
• Demonstrated success collaborating with constituents (faculty,
students, staff, or clients) from diverse cultural backgrounds and
demonstrated ability to build relationships among these groups
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Higher Education, Education, Psychology, or
any related field
• Experience providing support services to students such as
advising, career planning, referrals to resources, goal planning
and tracking academic progress
• Experience in a higher education setting
• Experience in supporting or managing a tutoring or supplemental
instruction program
• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student body
(including, but not limited to working adults, women, persons with
disabilities, active duty/veteran military personnel, students with
multiple and varying ethnic, racial and national backgrounds, etc.)

• Knowledge of student learning and development theories

Position Summary

The Classroom to Career Hub (C2 Hub) is the latest innovative
venture from Metropolitan State University of Denver, connecting
students and employers, facilitating real-world learning
experiences and upskilling homegrown talent for Colorado’s
workforce pipeline. More than a traditional career center, the C2
Hub strengthens students’ academic and professional acumen through
strategic and robust partnerships with local industries and
communities to ensure an equitable and prosperous future for all
Coloradans.

The Faculty Engagement & Experiential Learning unit’s overall
mission is to engage MSU Denver’s academic enterprise, mostly
through collaboration with faculty, department chairs, and deans,
with the work C2 Hub does to promote student success and engagement
in high-impact practices like internships, research, and service
learning. The Assistant Director of Operations and Events will
support the overall Faculty Engagement & Experiential Learning
Team with building solid processes, procedures, and event
oversight. This new position will enable the FE&EL team to
provide data and track movement in the University’s goal to have
100% student involvement in career preparation & experiential
learning programs. The Assistant Director of Operations and Events
will also support the growth and development of the unit’s vision,
direction, and program assessment.

With the addition of four new positions serving as experiential
learning liaisons within MSU Denver colleges, there is a need for
efficiency and organization to bring us closer to telling the whole
story of experiential learning across campus. We also want to
prioritize celebration and acknowledgement of successes and we hope
for this role to support that intent with creating and organizing
aligned events.

This position reports to the Director for Faculty Engagement &
Experiential Learning in the C2 Hub.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operations & Programming (50%)
• With the Director of Faculty Engagement & Experiential
Learning, provide strategic direction for the Faculty Engagement
Unit.
• Manage budget for Faculty Engagement unit including base
budget, one-time funds, and grant funding.
• Coordinate communications with academic units regarding
workshops, events, and collaboration opportunities.
• Guide Faculty Engagement & Experiential Learning Team on
process for securing faculty fellows within MSU Denver Departments;
Coordinate with academic deans and their leadership teams to
collect, assess, and disseminate fellowship outcomes.
• Provide oversight and support for a faculty fellows program;
including developing a tool kit with faculty to embed career
development initiatives into faculty pedagogy and curricular
delivery; coordinate with academic deans and their leadership teams
to collect, assess, and disseminate fellowship outcomes.
• Support direction and programming for further involvement with
our identified campus Career Catalysts.
• Serve as liaison for C2 Hub FE&EL team for faculty
engagement requests.
• Collaborate with C2 Hub Communication and Strategy Initiatives
Program Manager to support the FE & EL Website pages, social
media strategy, and external communications.

Events Management (30%)
• End to end event planning leadership and communication; manage
all on-site operational arrangements for events; monitor operations
of event and venue throughout entire event; act as concierge and be
visible and approachable to answer questions; Manage all logistical
arrangements
• Outline, plan, and execute the Career Catalyst
celebration.
• Re-build, plan, and execute the Student Impact & Innovation
Showcase in collaboration with the AVP for Undergraduate Studies,
the Director of Undergraduate Research, C2 Hub colleagues, and
other experiential learning leaders across campus.
• Prepare realistic and attainable event timelines and ensure
internal and external partners are kept updated and on
schedule.
• Organize and lead event debriefs with collaborators for what
worked well, and items that need to be addressed related to issues
that occurred before, during and after the event.
• Serve as FE&EL event support for at-large C2 Hub
events.

Data Oversight & Supervision (20%)
• Compile data collection for annual reports and analyze data to
identify areas of improvement.
• Collaborate with academic and student affairs partners to
collect experiential learning activities and support career
outcomes data.
• Supervise faculty engagement student staff including hiring,
delegation of duties, training, performance review and evaluation,
when necessary.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree through an accredited college or
university.
• Experience with the design and implementation of programs or
events.
• Experience managing a program budget and running data
analysis.

Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, or
related field
• Experience creating work processes for collaboration
• Experience working with career databases (i.e. Symplicity or
Handshake)
• Experience working with diverse, urban and non-traditional
student populations, with a focus on assisting veterans and
first-generation college students.
• Expresses belief in and commitment to MSU Denver’s mission and
values Desire to expand knowledge relating to equity and social
justice.

Qualities of a successful candidate include a growth mindset,
strengths in logistics, data, and organization, with time
management skills to independently establish priorities and manage
competing tasks within deadlines. We are a values-oriented team and
