Position Summary
Join an Office of Admissions team that is enthusiastic about
promoting access to higher education by supporting prospective and
incoming Metropolitan State University of Denver Roadrunners. The
Admissions Counselor – On Campus is a member of the recruitment
team within the Office of Admissions and contributes to the MSU
Denver Mission to provide a high-quality, accessible, enriching
education that prepares students for successful careers,

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Transfer

targeted prospective students, applicants, and newly admitted
students via email, mail, phone, text, and CRM systems, including
call campaigns and regular walk-in student appointments
• Assists with execution of on-campus recruitment related events
such as campus visits and presentations, group tours and
bi-institutional events, and open houses. This can entail
presenting to large audiences and providing general support for the
events.
• Helps develop social media content for prospective students,
applicants, and new admits.
45% –Counseling
• Provides admissions counseling and academic planning advice to
prospective students, applicants, and newly admitted students via
email, telephone, video conferencing, text, mail, and direct
in-office communication.
• Facilitates application and admission of students by working
closely with a variety of MSU Denver student services programs and
academic offices.
• Exercises professional judgment to interpret University
policies to advise prospective and new students about admission
procedures, transfer of credits, University policies, the financial
aid processes, scholarships, program requirements, registration,
tuition classification, and available student support
services.
10% – Additional Duties
• Represents the Office of Admissions on internal and external
committees and organizations related to the recruitment and
admission of students.
• Represent MSU Denver at off campus recruitment visits and
events
• Upholds and interprets the standards of ethical practice in
university admissions to assist with broad recruitment activities.
Assists in the preparation of surveys and questionnaires
distributed by the Office of Admissions to determine the

Required Qualifications
• A minimum of 1-year experience working in higher education,
secondary education, or student engagement organization (student

• Strong written communication skills

Position Summary
MSU Denver’s TRIO Upward Bound program serves first generation,
under-resourced college bound students by generating the skills and
motivation necessary to complete high school and to enter and
succeed in a program of post-secondary education.
The Education Coordinator and Advisor supports the planning,
development, implementation and delivery of program instruction and
services related to the individual academic development needs, as
well as building skill mastery for all TRIO High School Upward
Bound participants. The position provides educational and college
preparatory services to assist high school students by developing
curriculum and delivering supplemental instruction, including
delivery of seminars around study skills, SAT test-taking
strategies, and other college readiness subjects. In addition, the
position serves as an advisor for a cohort of high school
participants, provides coordination around recruitment, serves as a

Position Summary
MSU Denver’s TRIO Upward Bound program serves first generation,
under-resourced college bound students by generating the skills and
motivation necessary to complete high school and to enter and
succeed in a program of post-secondary education.
The Education Coordinator and Advisor supports the planning,
development, implementation and delivery of program instruction and
services related to the individual academic development needs, as
well as building skill mastery for all TRIO High School Upward
Bound participants. The position provides educational and college
preparatory services to assist high school students by developing
curriculum and delivering supplemental instruction, including
delivery of seminars around study skills, SAT test-taking
strategies, and other college readiness subjects. In addition, the
position serves as an advisor for a cohort of high school
participants, provides coordination around recruitment, serves as a
community liaison to support service learning, supervises
University student staff and contributes to the data collection and
evaluation of program services. This position reports to the
Director and is funded through a federal grant.

Required Qualifications

Hub strengthens students’ academic and professional acumen through
strategic and robust partnerships with local industries and
communities to ensure an equitable and prosperous future for all

The Faculty Engagement & Experiential Learning unit’s overall
mission is to engage MSU Denver’s academic enterprise, mostly
through collaboration with faculty, department chairs, and deans,
with the work C2 Hub does to promote student success and engagement
in high-impact practices like internships, research, and service
learning. The Assistant Director of Operations and Events will
support the overall Faculty Engagement & Experiential Learning
Team with building solid processes, procedures, and event
oversight. This new position will enable the FE&EL team to
provide data and track movement in the University’s goal to have
100% student involvement in career preparation & experiential
learning programs. The Assistant Director of Operations and Events
will also support the growth and development of the unit’s vision,
direction, and program assessment.
With the addition of four new positions serving as experiential
learning liaisons within MSU Denver colleges, there is a need for
efficiency and organization to bring us closer to telling the whole

The minimum of the pay range for this position is $54,900. We...
anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $54,900 -
$64,000. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will
be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to,
internal equity, experience, education, specialty and
training.

Position Summary
The Classroom to Career Hub (C2 Hub) is the latest innovative
venture from Metropolitan State University of Denver, connecting
students and employers, facilitating real-world learning
experiences and upskilling homegrown talent for Colorado’s
workforce pipeline. More than a traditional career center, the C2
Hub strengthens students’ academic and professional acumen through
strategic and robust partnerships with local industries and
communities to ensure an equitable and prosperous future for all
Coloradans.
The Faculty Engagement & Experiential Learning unit’s overall
mission is to engage MSU Denver’s academic enterprise, mostly
through collaboration with faculty, department chairs, and deans,
with the work C2 Hub does to promote student success and engagement
in high-impact practices like internships, research, and service
learning. The Assistant Director of Operations and Events will
support the overall Faculty Engagement & Experiential Learning
Team with building solid processes, procedures, and event
oversight. This new position will enable the FE&EL team to
provide data and track movement in the University’s goal to have
100% student involvement in career preparation & experiential
learning programs. The Assistant Director of Operations and Events
will also support the growth and development of the unit’s vision,
direction, and program assessment.
With the addition of four new positions serving as experiential
learning liaisons within MSU Denver colleges, there is a need for
efficiency and organization to bring us closer to telling the whole
story of experiential learning across campus. We also want to
prioritize celebration and acknowledgement of successes and we hope
for this role to support that intent with creating and organizing
aligned events.
This position reports to the Director for Faculty Engagement &
Experiential Learning in the C2 Hub.

Duties and Responsibilities
Operations & Programming (50%)
• With the Director of Faculty Engagement & Experiential
Learning, provide strategic direction for the Faculty Engagement
Unit.
• Manage budget for Faculty Engagement unit including base
budget, one-time funds, and grant funding.
• Coordinate communications with academic units regarding
workshops, events, and collaboration opportunities.
• Guide Faculty Engagement & Experiential Learning Team on
process for securing faculty fellows within MSU Denver Departments;
Coordinate with academic deans and their leadership teams to
collect, assess, and disseminate fellowship outcomes.
• Provide oversight and support for a faculty fellows program;
including developing a tool kit with faculty to embed career
development initiatives into faculty pedagogy and curricular
delivery; coordinate with academic deans and their leadership teams
to collect, assess, and disseminate fellowship outcomes.
• Support direction and programming for further involvement with
our identified campus Career Catalysts.
• Serve as liaison for C2 Hub FE&EL team for faculty
engagement requests.
• Collaborate with C2 Hub Communication and Strategy Initiatives
Program Manager to support the FE & EL Website pages, social
media strategy, and external communications.
Events Management (30%)
• End to end event planning leadership and communication; manage
all on-site operational arrangements for events; monitor operations
of event and venue throughout entire event; act as concierge and be
visible and approachable to answer questions; Manage all logistical
arrangements
• Outline, plan, and execute the Career Catalyst
celebration.
• Re-build, plan, and execute the Student Impact & Innovation
Showcase in collaboration with the AVP for Undergraduate Studies,
the Director of Undergraduate Research, C2 Hub colleagues, and
other experiential learning leaders across campus.
• Prepare realistic and attainable event timelines and ensure
internal and external partners are kept updated and on
schedule.
• Organize and lead event debriefs with collaborators for what
worked well, and items that need to be addressed related to issues
that occurred before, during and after the event.
