collaboration among schools, programs, and teachers in the Five
College Consortium comprising Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke and

offer students and affiliates the opportunity to explore the rich
and diverse music, musical practices, and cultures before ca. 1750.
Participants may take private lessons, participate in chamber music
courses or larger ensembles, or study historical dance, under the
guidance of instructors especially trained in the field of
Historically Informed Performance in Early Music. In addition to
regular concerts of its own ensembles, EMP hosts and co-hosts
performances and residencies by professional Early Music performers
and ensembles, across Five College campuses. The position is based
at Mount Holyoke College and presently led by an interim part-time
Program Director and a steering committee whose membership includes
faculty from each of the Music Departments of the Five
Colleges.
Primary responsibilities:
As a lecturer in music, the candidate will be responsible teaching
four courses each year: the EMP’s flagship ensemble (2 courses) and
one academic course per semester (2 courses).
As the leader of the EMP ensembles, the director oversees the
overall operation of the program’s various activities (smaller
ensembles affiliated with the program, workshops, etc.). The EMP
director promotes the program’s offerings, and oversees the Arthur
Loeb Early Music Instrument Collection. The Director will also work
with faculty in the Five Colleges in coordinating teaching,
programming performances, conferences, and other programs.
Preferred qualifications:
A Master’s degree is required. College and/or professional
experience is desired. Commitment to liberal arts education, the
ability to contribute to the wider educational aims of the Five
Colleges and Mount Holyoke College Music Department, and the
capacity to reflect the College's commitment to diversity through
repertory choices and curriculum are essential.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a record of excellence as
a specialist in early music performance, balanced with evidence of
dedication to effective teaching and recruitment in a higher
education environment. In addition to substantial experience with
leading instrumental and vocal ensembles, the candidate will
demonstrate experience and success in creating and/or collaborating
on a variety of performances of early music in both vocal and
instrumental repertories. Experience in working with students and

Mount Holyoke is currently searching for an Associate Director (AD), Career Exploration to join our team in the Career Development Center. The Associate Director for Career Exploration supports the Career Development Center’s mission and strategic goals by leading the CDC’s work on early student engagement, self-assessment, and career exploration and through supporting and serving the college’s diverse student population. Keeps abreast of current student concerns related to careers and identifies programmatic ways to support students with these topics.
The successful candidate will need to manage multiple priorities, assess and evaluate shorter-term and longer-term goals, and work with a range of students, alumnae, faculty, and staff. We seek a candidate with significant experience and expertise in providing career advising for diverse undergraduate students, particularly focused on career exploration and self-assessment; excellent oral and written presentation skills; a history of success with program development, project management, and staff supervision; and the ability to work effectively in situations including as a team leader, collaborative team member, and independently.
Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• CAREER EXPLORATION & EARLY ENGAGEMENT (20%)
Identifies student needs and oversees the development of programming in relation to early engagement, self-assessment, and career exploration, both within the Career Development Center and through campus partnerships. Through these programs and tools, students should develop greater awareness of career options and insight into their own strengths, goals, career aspirations, and areas for growth. Ensures strong early student engagement, with a focus on the first-year and sophomore classes.
• Keeps abreast of career assessment inventories and selects the appropriate tools for CDC use, considering input from all career advisors.
• Ensure that all CDC advisors are prepared to engage effectively in career exploration advising.
• Presents at First Year Orientation, supports first-year seminars, and organizes the Sophomore Institute,
• Develops and delivers career development programming focused on early engagement.
• Collaborates with the AD of Integrated Advising to ensure that advising content and programs are connected, consistent, and inclusive of all stages of student career development.
• FOUNDATIONAL CAREER SKILL BUILDING (25%)
Manages on-demand professional advising program (i.e. Drop-ins, Advisor of the Day, and/or Career Studios), including:
• With input from CDC advisors, annually design a same-day advising program for students working on resumes, cover letters, inquiry letters, and other elements of the job application process.
• With input from CDC advisors, annually design a system that accommodates urgent advising needs for students unable to utilize other advising formats.
• Ensure that same-day advising is efficient, effective, inclusive, and utilized
• Supervises a team of Peer Career Assistants to:
• Deliver introductory career development content to students through workshops, social media, and/or ambassadorship activities.
• Review resumes submitted by students to the CDC’s Handshake database and make decisions on accepting or requiring improvements to resumes.
• Ensure continuity of service through student worker fluctuations.
• INDIVIDUAL CAREER COUNSELING (40%)
Works collaboratively with fellow career advisors, counsels students, and recent alums within all areas of the career development process, including individual advising, designing and facilitating workshops and programs, and collaborating with campus offices and academic departments. Administers and interprets career assessment inventories and additional advising duties as assigned. Keeps abreast of career development trends to ensure current, accurate career advising.
• CENTRAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT CENTER INITIATIVES (15%)
Collaborate with colleagues and/or lead task forces to advance key CDC priorities, contributing to ongoing CDC initiatives such as liaison systems and advisor groups.
• Other duties may be assigned.
This regular, 12-month position reports to the Senior Associate Director, Experience & Exploration, and works closely with CDC staff members who focus on advising, communications, experiential learning, and data and assessment.
Occasional evening and/or weekend work is required, as well as occasional travel. As a student-centered position, this role is primarily an in-person one. Limited remote work hours may be permitted for tasks that are independent in nature. Increased opportunities for remote work are typically available during January and summer break periods. Hybrid work agreements are made at the discretion of the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
The individual will have a Masters's degree (or a Bachelor's degree plus commensurate experience) in a related field such as Higher Ed or Counseling and 3 to 5 years of experience in Counseling or in Higher Education required.

Mount Holyoke is currently searching for an Associate Director (AD), Career Exploration to join our team in the Career Development Center. The Associate Director for Career Exploration supports the Career Development Center’s mission and strategic goals by leading the CDC’s work on early student engagement, self-assessment, and career exploration and through supporting and serving the college’s diverse student population. Keeps abreast of current student concerns related to careers and identifies programmatic ways to support students with these topics.
The successful candidate will need to manage multiple priorities, assess and evaluate shorter-term and longer-term goals, and work with a range of students, alumnae, faculty, and staff. Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• CAREER EXPLORATION & EARLY ENGAGEMENT (20%)
Identifies student needs and oversees the development of programming in relation to early engagement, self-assessment, and career exploration, both within the Career Development Center and through campus partnerships. Through these programs and tools, students should develop greater awareness of career options and insight into their own strengths, goals, career aspirations, and areas for growth. Ensures strong early student engagement, with a focus on the first-year and sophomore classes.
• Keeps abreast of career assessment inventories and selects the appropriate tools for CDC use, considering input from all career advisors.
• Ensure that all CDC advisors are prepared to engage effectively in career exploration advising.
• Presents at First Year Orientation, supports first-year seminars, and organizes the Sophomore Institute,
• Develops and delivers career development programming focused on early engagement.
• Collaborates with the AD of Integrated Advising to ensure that advising content and programs are connected, consistent, and inclusive of all stages of student career development.
• FOUNDATIONAL CAREER SKILL BUILDING (25%)
Manages on-demand professional advising program (i.e. Drop-ins, Advisor of the Day, and/or Career Studios), including:
• With input from CDC advisors, annually design a same-day advising program for students working on resumes, cover letters, inquiry letters, and other elements of the job application process.
• With input from CDC advisors, annually design a system that accommodates urgent advising needs for students unable to utilize other advising formats.
• Ensure that same-day advising is efficient, effective, inclusive, and utilized
• Supervises a team of Peer Career Assistants to:
• Deliver introductory career development content to students through workshops, social media, and/or ambassadorship activities.
• Review resumes submitted by students to the CDC’s Handshake database and make decisions on accepting or requiring improvements to resumes.
• Ensure continuity of service through student worker fluctuations.
• INDIVIDUAL CAREER COUNSELING (40%)
Works collaboratively with fellow career advisors, counsels students, and recent alums within all areas of the career development process, including individual advising, designing and facilitating workshops and programs, and collaborating with campus offices and academic departments. Administers and interprets career assessment inventories and additional advising duties as assigned. Keeps abreast of career development trends to ensure current, accurate career advising.
• CENTRAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT CENTER INITIATIVES (15%)
Collaborate with colleagues and/or lead task forces to advance key CDC priorities, contributing to ongoing CDC initiatives such as liaison systems and advisor groups.
• Other duties may be assigned.
This regular, 12-month position reports to the Senior Associate Director, Experience & Exploration, and works closely with CDC staff members who focus on advising, communications, experiential learning, and data and assessment.
Occasional evening and/or weekend work is required, as well as occasional travel. As a student-centered position, this role is primarily an in-person one. Limited remote work hours may be permitted for tasks that are independent in nature. Increased opportunities for remote work are typically available during January and summer break periods. Hybrid work agreements are made at the discretion of the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
The individual will have a Masters's degree (or a Bachelor's degree plus commensurate experience) in a related field such as Higher Ed or Counseling and 3 to 5 years of experience in Counseling or in Higher Education required.

With an emphasized focus on community building and communication, the Sustainability Program Manager is located in the Miller Worley Center for the Environment (MWCE), and reports directly to the Leslie and Sarah Miller Director of the Miller Worley Center. The Sustainability Program Manager provides strategic direction to achieve the College’s multifaceted sustainability goals, continuing an era of leadership in sustainability. The Program Manager works closely across college divisions and among students, faculty, and staff to advance sustainability as a core value in all aspects of the campus including academic programs and research, campus planning and operations, and co-curricular student opportunities with both local and global lenses. The Program Manager collaborates closely with the Vice President for Finance and Administration and the Associate Vice President for Facilities Management in reviewing sustainability goals and reporting progress and making recommendations for strategic directions to the Officers at least annually and reporting to the Board at least every 5 years.
Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with division heads and directors and engage the community to develop and implement a dynamic sustainability program informed by the Sustainability Steering Committee, with short and long-range implementation strategies and programs
• Connect sustainability to campus diversity initiatives and promote environmental and social justice in all initiatives.
• Track the College’s progress toward established sustainability goals and make recommendations for revisions or additional goals, including campus policies and procedures, and present an annual progress report to the Officers in close collaboration with the VP for Finance and Administration and the Associate VP for Facilities Management.
• Facilitate sustainability initiatives by providing research, information, and assistance to campus departments, programs, and student organizations in program development and implementation.
• Prepare the College’s Sustainability Tracking and Assessment Rating Systems (STARS) information annually and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide information and develop education programs to advance sustainability as a core value across campus, including generating content for communications initiatives and managing the sustainability portions of the website, social media, and events.
• Support the academic and co-curricular programs of the College, including working with the Miller Worley Center team in coordinating curricular sustainability initiatives, educational programming, curricular opportunities, and campus operations.
• Support and foster student leadership and engagement as it relates to the environment, justice, and sustainability.
• Meet regularly with dining, facilities, and other sustainability partners on campus to facilitate and help implement sustainability initiatives.
• Assist the MWCE Director and Advancement staff in developing ideas and supporting materials to engage alumnae in sustainability fundraising.
• Represent the College on the South Hadley Sustainability and Energy Committee and more broadly at local, regional and national sustainability organizations.
• Network with peer institutions in order to understand the evolving best practices and look for opportunities for collaboration to forward common goals.
Qualifications:
• Understanding of a sustainability mission that seeks to center justice and inclusivity.
• Strong ability to work as part of a team as well as to work independently on a wide variety of projects, including an ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Exceptional oral and written communication capacities with experience communicating with multiple diverse audiences, including an ability to work via social media platforms.
• Strong human relations and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to develop positive collaborative relationships and facilitate collaborative processes with on-campus and external audiences to achieve consensus outcomes.
• Experience developing long-term strategic initiatives and implementing, assessing, and engaging diverse communities in them.
