eVestment Private Markets provides Investors, Consultants and Asset Managers with the tools to make Research, Due Diligence and Fundraising simpler and more effective. The Private Markets data team supports this best-in-class platform by curating novel datasets, facilitating the flow of contributory data from Asset Managers to Investors, and performing analyses that drive new insights and innovation across our solutions.
As a Private Markets Analyst, you will play a crucial role in helping eVestment Private Markets stay at the forefront of Research and Due Diligence. Analysts partner with eVestment’s Consultant and Investor clients to design and launch data collection campaigns that gather unique and powerful data to be used on our analytics platform. The team also performs a variety of Research activities to discover new data and curate and release novel datasets that are leveraged by Investors, Consultants and Asset Managers.
With this position we offer
We are growing quickly, building a global team of Data Analysts to support our clients and the Private Markets industry in local markets. As our team footprint expands, the opportunity to take on more responsibility, become a subject matter expert on key initiatives, and participate in projects that span the eVestment and Nasdaq organizations in their impact will become numerous. If you are passionate about solving problems, helping clients and driving change in the industry, we’re looking for you.
Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for proof of your passion for data. While many on our team have educational backgrounds in Economics, Accounting, Finance, MIS, CIS, Mathematics, etc., this opportunity is open to all majors. Having a conceptual knowledge of databases (e.g., SQL) is a plus. We’d like you to have 1-3 years of experience in financial services—preferably in the Private Markets space. Exceptional attentiveness to detail and strong customer service skills are a must; you will be working with investors and private equity managers to review and analyze performance data. We want to hear about how you’ve successfully prioritized tasks and executed appropriate planning and time management strategies to achieve project objectives. Progress towards CFA, CAIA, Investment Foundations or an advanced business degree is a strong plus.

A certain degree of personal accountability, creativity, and latitude are required and encouraged. Your desire to build working knowledge of applicable financial terminology and industry best practices will help you be successful in this role and in our company. You embrace technology (Excel proficiency is just the beginning for you); creating pivot tables, using VLOOKUP is already a part of your skill set. We need excellence. This means your communication skills are stellar: polished, professional communication skills and detailed analytical skills are vital as client interaction is high. We need innovation. This means you question the status quo and love asking “What if…?” We need teamwork. This means when a colleague asks “Can someone help me with…?” you’re quick to answer “Yes.” We need humility. This means you understand about lending a hand where necessary. We need integrity. This means you deliver results with little supervision and don’t hesitate to acknowledge, own, and resolve errors you’ve made (we all make them, we just have to learn from them).
Does it sound like you?
As the selection process is ongoing, please submit your application as soon as possible. We will get back to you in short order.
