the technological divide, and issues related to climate change and

Competitive candidates for this professorship will have a strong
scholarly track record with evidence of high-quality research as
well as policy engagement in global and national discussions on
ethical issues on the use of technology. Applicants should
demonstrate evidence of national and international prominence in
their academic field and among policy-makers and practitioners.
Scholars with direct experience working on policy with governments,
international organizations, or non-governmental organizations are

As a member of the Sports Performance team, the successful candidate will coordinate operations and logistics for the integration of performance technology. Furthermore, this role will manage research initiatives in collaboration with academicians within the university. The Sports Performance Associate will attend weekly meetings with the grant research co-principal investigators at Notre Dame and the Sports Performance team.

Responsibilities & Duties
• Manage and provide guidance for performance testing with all Sports Performance verticals leading to more individualized support of Notre Dame student-athletes.
• Facilitate internal and external research projects with special attention to the site accountabilities related to the grant funded research project.
• Prepare, enter, and report data for preliminary and final reporting, providing input on Sports Performance programming where appropriate.

Position Details

• Work with campus partners to address health concerns and student well-being while abroad

• Review and revamp pre-departure orientations for students to endure that health and safety issues are adequately addressed

• Maintain current knowledge of regulatory framework affecting study abroad such as Title IX and Clery laws.

The CMS group at Notre Dame (Hildreth, Jessop, Lannon, Osherson, Wayne) oversees the development of the online software for the Tracker Data Processing Systems (DPS) and contributes to the development of the Level 1 track trigger. The group also leads in several areas of CMS software and computing, including developing the software for central management of CMS data processing and data transfers, and R&D into new computing approaches for large scale data processing and columnar data analysis. Activities in both of these areas also includes collaboration with faculty and researchers from Notre Dame’s Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department and Notre Dame’s Center for Research Computing (CRC). Notre Dame has also played a leading role in the construction, commissioning and operation of the CMS hadron calorimeter, and the electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) and has extensive roles high level trigger (HLT) operations. The group is also actively engaged in developing and coordinating other detector upgrade projects for the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC), including the ECAL/HCAL, and MIP timing detector (MTD). Group members have leadership roles in CMS physics analyses with interests in top physics (including searches for new physics using effective field theory (EFT) techniques), searches for exotic particles decaying through boosted topologies, Higgs coupling measurements (ttH and anomalous Higgs decays), SUSY searches, and electroweak physics. Our postdocs have historically taken CMS leadership roles in these efforts.
