Pay rate of $16.626 (Effective July 1, 2023, pay rate will increase to $19.119). • Operate trucks and other light equipment to complete highway maintenance work.
• Operate tractors with various attachments including disc, harrows, seeders, 15 foot mowers, sprayers and hand mowers to maintain highways and highway right of ways.
• Operate post drivers for the installation of signs, fences, guardrails, and other hand-held power and manual tools.
• Maintain the upkeep of shrubs and lawns and perform tree trimming and brush cutting.
• Maintain yards and performs building maintenance and cleaning.
• Paint buildings and various structures.
• Perform manual labor for concrete and bituminous patching and sealing cracks in highways and structures.
• Manually provide highway traffic control for construction and maintenance projects according to safety procedures.

As a Psychologist you will:

• Provide leadership to treatment teams, Medical Staff, and various other committees within the hospital.
• Provide consultation to staff during treatment team meetings and on behavior plans
• Provide training for staff
• Write initial comprehensive treatment plans
• Provide individual and group therapy for patients
• Complete psychological evaluations addressing psychological functioning, intellectual ability, and personality as well as assessments of risk for elopement, suicide, violence and sexual re-offense.
• Along with the Psychiatry team, make patient diagnoses in Diagnostic Staff.
• Provide testimony for mental health board hearings
• Program development REQUIREMENTS: Must be licensed to practice psychology in the state of Nebraska.

PREFERRED: One year post-doctorate experience and experience working with sex offender populations.

OTHER: A doctoral degree in psychology is required. Licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Nebraska is preferred, but may have a provisional NE license as a Psychologist. Applicants should have knowledge of and experience with common psychological tests and risk assessment measures. Flexibility in working with an interdisciplinary team as well as a diverse population of sex offenders is needed.

Special knowledge in working with lower intellectual functioning, learning disabled, or personality disordered populations is preferred. Applicants should possess a training orientation to help educate front line staff about working with a sex offender population. The psychologist should develop knowledge of the sex offender commitment act and the mental health commitment act.

Work Ethic Camp, 2309 N Hwy 83, McCook, NE 69001Assist in the planning, development and implementation of leisure time program for inmates which includes, but is not limited to: athletics, music, television programming, cultural events and activities. Assist in policy development. Supervise the daily use of equipment and materials to assure minimum breakage, loss, etc. Assist in the maintenance of records and keep written records on residents participation in all leisure time programs.
