Mental Health Treatment Advocates with National Youth Advocate Program work in the community as part of an integral service team.This position offers a great opportunity for anyone looking to build a career in the helping services field, and is ideal for candidates who are seeking internships, hands on, and or post graduate experience. Our Mental Health Treatment Advocates will work one on one with youth while transporting them to and from a destination.

In this role, you will work closely with youth, family, foster parents, and community partners,to provide advocacy and support for individuals in their home, office or community with the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.

This position is not benefit eligible.

Schedule is ON Call as Needed (Mornings, days, afternoon, evenings, weekends and overnight help is needed)

Responsibilities

•Provide interventions, as needed,with client(s)while being transported to and from various appointments and visits throughout the community

• Participate in the development of the youth treatment/service plans as needed

• Interact with the youth to develop a trusting, supportive relationship while assisting in achieving identified goals.

• Provide PSR and/orTBS Services(Training Provided).

• Ability to engage clients; document conversations and outcomes and submit paperwork for billing.

• Identify outside resources and services in the community for youth development and goal attainment.

• Assist in family reunification efforts with the youths’ primary family or other permanent living arrangements.

• Assist in Crisis Situations (daytime, afternoon, evenings, overnights and weekends).

Minimum Qualifications

•Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or enrollment in an accredited Associates or Bachelor’s Program; preferred; GED or HS Diploma required.

• Experience in child welfare;preferred.

• Daily travel required with the willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule or during non-traditional hours if needed; Availability for after school hours and weekends.

• 21years of age or older

• Working, reliable telephone.

• Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

Driving and Vehicle Requirements
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable personal transportation
• Good driving record
• Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability

Intensive In Home Services (IIHS) Therapists with National Youth Advocate Program work in the community as part of our Community Based Therapy team. In this role, you will deliver Intensive In-Home Mental Health Services throughout Carroll and Harrison Counties to adolescents, youth and children, as well as their families, who have been referred or identified by the County Courts, Family and Children First Council, or other County Agencies.

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, you will work closely with youth, family, foster parents, and community partners, providing counseling or therapy, advocacy and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.

Responsibilities
• Provides individual, group, and family mental health therapy, case management, transportation, and other professional services to clients served

• You will meet with each client 2-3 times per week.
• Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family in the community mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
• Regularly reviews and modifies youth-based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals.
• Establishes and maintains strong relationship with assigned foster parents and families of origin.
• Assists in family reunification and/or stabilization efforts with the youth's primary family or other permanent living arrangement consistent with the youth's case plan.
• Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served

Minimum Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
• LSW or LPC required
• Experience in providing both individual and family therapy
• Experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
• Experience with TF-CBT preferred
• Daily travel required with the willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule or during non-traditional hours if needed
• Must be comfortable providing services in the community and in client homes.
