Duties and Responsibilities

The following job duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the summer school Credit Recovery certified teacher position, in addition to any duties as may be assigned by the building lead or program director for the duration of the program:
• Supervise students as assigned.
• Mandatory attendance for the month of July, the entire summer program, and participation in 1 day of orientation in June.
• Maintain all required data and record-keeping for summer programming, including a summative student work sample portfolio.
• Instruct students in a classroom setting and foster a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Monitor and record student attendance in Powerschool.
• Determine and implement classroom management procedures and communicate documented student incidents to building leader.
• Administer mandated assessments and maintain documentation of student progress
• Maintain professional relationships with Summer School Coordinator, Building Leader, Parents, Students, Co-workers and other stakeholders.
• Adhere to established laws, policies, rules and regulations, including those policies and procedures adopted by NHPS
• Be able to effectively use technology to deliver instruction, communicate with stakeholders and be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all staff and students.
• Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills and use effective, positive interpersonal skills
• Requirements: CT Teacher certification
• Compensation $45 per hour
