Quality and Patient Safety Specialist - Full Time - Days - Columbia
In this role, you will provide quality and patient safety consulting, analysis, improvement facilitation and program administration services for assigned internal client groups within the Hospital. Develop, implement, and improve programs to establish and maintain Quality and Patient Safety standards of existing products and services, as well as develop programs to focus on the care provided to patients. Research, collect and analyze internal and external data for decision making. Serve as subject matter expert regarding client’s quality and patient safety initiatives, significant event management, and goals in alignment with the Hospital’s strategic priorities.
This position is currently based out of our Columbia office with possible travel to any of our NYP sites. It will be full-time Monday to Friday. Hybrid options are available.
Preferred Criteria
• Master's degree in a related field
• Clinical Licensure (RN, PA, NP, MD, Nurse Midwife, RD, PT/OT, or PharmD)
• PMP or Six-Sigma/Lean
• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
• Excellent data analytics skills

Maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients, expertly intervening in times of anxiousness and assisting them with their daily activities. Record vital signs and other important clinical information, as an important resource for the multidisciplinary team. Many of our Mental Health Workers go on to become leaders in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, and other areas.
