• Assists in having patient ready for scheduled appointments including placing the patient on a stretcher or in a wheelchair.
• Runs errands to other departments, including but not limited to, the delivery of specimens and equipment.
• Assists in keeping patient environment, patient equipment and patient care areas/units clean, safe and orderly.
• Ensures that necessary equipment and supplies are present in the patient rooms and on the unit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a High school graduate or equivalent required. PCT certification upon hire or transfer into the position . BLS certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA) OR Heartsaver CPR/AED certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA) is required upon entry to the position. Competencies: Working knowledge of English is evident in verbal, reading and writing abilities; other language an asset; demonstrates ability in computer skills; proficiency in venipuncture and phlebotomy required.

In this role, the successful candidate has direct responsibility for the management and supervision of the Laboratory services. • MAJOR CHALLENGES: To be able to run as many tests as necessary within the context of Medical Center and approval of such procedures upon submission.
• WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Interacts with lab staff under supervision as well as the hospital personnel. Interaction with other department managers and center physicians.
• Exercises oversight of department fiscal affairs, including accountability for budgets..
• Supervises department employees, including responsibility for hiring, assignment of work, orientation, coaching, training, performance and competency evaluation, compensation, discipline and termination of employment. Promotes collaborative teamwork and open communication.
• Collaborates with other managers in cross-functional process improvement and problem solving to ensure the effective coordination of services within and between departments.
• Supervises the delivery of department services and a comprehensive quality assurance program to ensure accurate and valid outcomes and continuous improvement of service quality for all customers. Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Science.
• The Lab Manager must have a current valid Clinical Laboratory License (State or National)
• The Lab Manager is qualified as a medical technologist pursuant to the provisions of section 58-1.5(b) of the NYS DOH Clinical Laboratory Regulations Subpart 58-1 and have at least 6 years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of laboratory information systems essential.
• Pursuant to section 58-1.5(b) of the NYS DOH Clinical Laboratory Regulations (qualifications), each individual performing moderate and high complexity testing must have the skills required for:
• Proper specimen collection, including patient identification and preparation, labeling, handling, preservation or fixation, processing or preparation, transportation and storage of specimens;
• Understanding, implementing and adhering to all standard laboratory procedures;
• Performing each test method and proper instrument use;
• Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration procedures related to each test performed, according to manufacturer and/or internal policy and procedure;
• Understanding, implementing and adhering to quality control policies and procedures;
• Assessing and verifying the validity of patient test results through the evaluation of quality sample values prior to reporting patient test results;
• A working knowledge of reagent stability and storage.
• Appropriate interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, physicians, and clients and co-workers.
• Detail oriented, capable of handling stress from irregular workload and demonstrate businesslike and professional attitude at all times.
• Strong verbal communication skills in English for interpersonal and telephone skills.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Space Planning and Management, the Space Management Coordinator is responsible for the definition, analysis, concept development, and production of planning and predesign studies that meet a broad range of Medical Center objectives, including research facilities.

Job Responsibilities:
• The Space Planning Coordinator is responsible for supporting the building, maintenance and update of the NYU Medical Center Space Inventory, a computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) system integrating CAD documents and a relational database of properties owned or leased by NYU Langone Medical Center (NYULMC).
• Assuring completeness and accuracy of the Space Inventory to reflect current real estate portfolio; and assisting the Department of Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED&F) in general space planning, space information management and reporting in the context of NYULMC's overall strategic plan.
• Tracking and coordinating space requests and program requirements; supporting the Campus Planning Office in developing and producing reports and plans for test-fits and feasibility studies for space planning or capital projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and a minimum of three years' experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD).
• Knowledge of Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) and/or database management required. Experience with academic, healthcare, research facility/laboratory, or space planning preferred.
• Must be fluent in relevant software and possess excellent communication skills and graphic proficiency.
• Ability to maintain a close attention to detail and multi- task in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Facilities Operations Manager.

In this role, the successful candidate manages and coordinates all daily operations and maintenance activities of a multi-discipline team of operations managers, technology specialists, trade labor, customer service representatives, and external resources to optimize the delivery of facility services, properly communicate all pertinent issues and activities, and develop innovative service solutions that bring value to the medical center.

Responsible for the management and operation of a centralized operations center consisting of a customer call center, building management technology center, and centralized service dispatch. This position will lead and coordinate the activities of all departmental trades, shop manages, technical resources to deliver optimized service solutions to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:
• Controls access of outside contractors and engineering consultants
• Coordinate call center, energy performance analysis, BMS alarm response, and technical support for operations staff
• Respond to emergency calls during non-business hours, including on-site as deemed necessary, and recommends corrective measures
• Ensures that all work has the appropriate Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), Hot Work Permit, Above Ceiling Permit and or Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) required prior to commencing work
• Develop, maintain and takes leadership position in JCAHO inspection, environment of care committees, utility plants, work groups and including maintenance requirements and efforts
• Assist in planning and development of the staff to be able to address current problems and anticipated future issues. Participates in departmental work planning and goal setting for the coordination of short-term work efforts and long term projects such as capital improvement
• Receives, reviews, and evaluates all plant reports. Remains knowledgeable of status of all physical plant work including construction and prepares reports and maintains appropriate records
• Designs and implements work flow processes and systems to enhance performance and institutional value
• Coordinates planned interruptions and plant services with affected administrators and departments.
• In conjunction with the Director of Engineering, is responsible for all assigned functions critical to the facilities on a 24/7 basis
• Will lead a team of operations managers and respective trade labor to ensure day to day operations and maintenance requirements are met, communicated, and properly measured and reported.
• Responsible for the effective, cost-efficient, and timely management of facilities functions as they pertain to day to day operations and maintenance management.
• Develop and implement the departmental policies, procedures, and performance metrics necessary to optimize the delivery of operations, maintenance, and construction activities and to effectively communicate these activities to our leadership and customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Technical Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

2. Demonstrated progressive growth in the field of healthcare facility maintenance and management

3. Must have a minimum of 10 years of management experience with a minimum of 5 years of facilities hospital and union trade labor supervisory experience

4. Must be familiar with Building Management Systems.

5. Must be familiar with the use of computer maintenance management systems

6. Computer proficiency with MS Office and Outlook email and calendar

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Mechanic Engineering Degree with Professional Engineering License

2. Familiarity with all types of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.

3. Should have experience with energy conservation programs, and utility distribution

4. Call center experience is a plus

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $88,524.96 - $147,541.60 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
