Position: The Resident Director works as a member of the Residence Life/Student Life team to foster student success, community development, and spiritual growth in our on-campus residential communities. The Resident Director lives on-campus in a designated staff apartment, and reports to the Director of Residence Life. THE POSITION BEGINS JULY 2024.
Primary Qualifications:
• Some college credit and active work toward a bachelor’s degree is required; a completed bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Maintain accurate rosters, updating them immediately as changes or updates occur and are needed.
Additional Qualifications:
• Ability to communicate in a manner that reflects a positive and professional image for the University and the Residence Life Department.

• Ability to use computer-related programs and other technologies needed to perform essential job functions.
Work Conditions:
• Be able to work 35-40 hours per week. The position has a non-traditional work schedule and will require some nights and weekends.
• Work schedules may be flexed with supervisor approval.
• The initial appointment for a Resident Director will be for one 9- month period (residence halls) or one 12-month period (apartments). Position: Reporting to the Director of Events, the individual selected for this position will support University Event functions. This position is a full-time position with office hours and evenings/weekends as agreed upon by the Director of Events.
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Communications/Media or related experience is required.

Primary Responsibilities
• The Technical Director oversees any and all technical operation and maintenance for University Events including lights, sets, sound and video, to include but not limited to:
• Conference Center Events
• University Events, 3rd Party Events and Conferences
• Music Department Performances (plays, musicals, concerts, and ceremonies)
• Various University Productions
• First Week Follies
• Freshman Fanfare
• Spring Sing
• Speaker Series and Lectures
• Daily Chapel
• Lighting of the Commons
• Graduation
• Outdoor Concerts/Productions
• The Technical director supervises student employees that aid in executing technical operations.
• Manage events scheduling from the University software tools including: Events Management System, ZenDesk, Planning Pod, and others.
• Manage the student workers schedules to meet event schedules needs and student class schedules.
• Manage chapel scheduling for student workers and tech needs as needed.
• The Technical Director will manage all equipment and technical procedures in the Meinders Conference Center, Baugh Auditorium, Judd Theater, Adams Recital Hall, Scott Chapel and all portable equipment.

Duties include teaching, supervising, and mentoring master’s level MFT students and developing a line of research.
