• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university (Accountancy degree preferred)

What Does an Employer Services Manager do?

At Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), an Employer Services Manager (Program Administrator 3) is responsible for leading a team of regional Business Relations staff. The OOD Business Relations program was a 2020 national finalist for the Harvard Innovations in American Government Award. Official Position Description:Receives on the job training & performs the following highway maintenance duties: Receives CDL preparation & snow & ice training (i.e., CDL preparation & training, spreader attachment/detachment, plow blade replacement, plowing snow, snowplow operation & associated snow & ice duties). Flags & directs on-going vehicular traffic through highway maintenance & construction work sites on state & federal highways. Sets up & maintains traffic control structures (e.g., barricades, pot torches, cones, pavement markings, electrical warning devices).

What you will do…

Patrol Auxiliary (Volunteer Force)

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Auxiliary is an all-volunteer force that provides assistance to troopers in the course of their duties. Crash scene and traffic stop assistance, traffic control, disaster relief and special detail support are among the duties of an Auxiliary officer.

The OSHP Auxiliary was formed in 1942 when many commissioned troopers began entering the armed forces during World War II. At that time, membership was limited to members of the American Legion, which was largely made up of war veterans unlikely to be drafted into service.

After the war, the Auxiliary was a critical component of Ohio's Civil Defense Plan, with officers assigned to vital crossroads to assist with evacuation and convoy movement.

Today, Auxiliary members contribute thousands of hours in an assortment of functions. Each is required to log a minimum of 120 hours per year to remain active. Current requirements to become an Auxiliary are:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Ohio Resident with valid Ohio driver license
• Age 18-57 (except for retired OSHP officers)
• Good physical condition
• Weight proportionate to height
• No felony convictions
• Pass a background investigation
• Pre-employment polygraph exam
• Ability to communicate in a clear manner
• Availability for training and service
• Applicants must pass a medical exam, which must be conducted by a physician at their own expense. Applicants must also pass written and physical tests. Auxiliary members are required to conform to grooming standards and purchase a uniform.

JOB DETAILS:
• Starting Hourly Pay: $17.22
• Multiple pay increases over your first 2.5 years of service, with an end salary of $18.45 per hour for first shift employment. This does not include overtime opportunities or shift differential pay!
• Shift differential pay for 2nd and 3rd shift (additional $.60 per hour)
• Tuition Reimbursement
• Medical Coverage available the 1st of the month following start date
• Dental, vision, and basic life insurance premiums are free after completed eligibility period. Length of eligibility period is dependent on union representation.
• Generous Benefits package including vacation, sick, holiday, and personal leave
• 11 paid holidays per year
• OPERS retirement - The employee contributes 10% of their salary towards their retirement. The employer contributes an amount equal to 14% of the employee’s salary.

The Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown offers 168 beds for nursing home care. Two levels of care are offered: standard care for veterans in need of any intermediate level of care, and memory care for veterans with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. The home staffs a full time Physician and Certified Nurse Practitioner.

The home opened in 2003, and is located in the scenic countryside of Brown County, offering a tranquil setting where veterans can feel at home. • Is flexible, proactive, resourceful, efficient, and professional

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Prepares & cooks foods according to standardized recipes (e.g., makes desserts, dressings & breads, special menu foods; mixes salads; prepares hot & cold beverages; slices meats & cheese, makes sandwiches; obtains necessary items from ingredient/storeroom, coolers & freezers; cleans & prepares vegetables & meats before cooking & mixing);
• Uses standard &/or commercial kitchen equipment (e.g., steam kettles, grill, oven, broiler, meat slicer, steamers, fryers, range top, food processing equipment, thermometer, industrial mixer, chill blaster)
• Maintains overall responsibility for proper preparation of cycle menus in most appetizing, nutritious & appealing manner within specified period of time for each serving;
• Uses thermometer to monitor & record food temperatures as instructed

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in food preparation, sanitation & storage & use of food service equipment in institutional, school or restaurant setting.

-Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation & storage; addition, subtraction, multiplication & division. Skill in operation of kitchen equipment. Ability to understand system of procedures; read recipes; lift up to 50 lbs. (*)Developed after employment.
