Job Description:
SUNY Old Westbury seeks a dynamic, forward thinking and engaging Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist, with a specialization in fire safety, to the join the Facilities Department.
Principal duties include:
The EHS Specialist will be responsible for coordinating fire and life safety systems, fire safety and building code compliance and environmental programs including testing, inspecting, record keeping, and training. Reporting to the Facilities Director, the incumbent will develop and implement health and safety programs for all campus staff and students to ensure compliance with all state and federal code requirements. This position will work with other facilities staff, faculty, and technicians when required for complex work. Must be able to prioritize multiple projects, and work in a demanding fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, twelve (12) month position, with weekend and after-hours work, as required.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform duties related to EHS activities pertaining to fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems and all life safety equipment operations and maintenance throughout the campus.
• Plan and conduct employee and student fire safety training, provide hot work training and issue and monitor hot work permits.
• Coordinate all safety training - Lock Out/Tag, Right to Know, and Electrical NFPA 70E.
• Function as the Campus NYS Building Safety Inspector.
• Coordinate NYS Fire Marshal campus inspections.
• Perform monthly inspections of the University's Fire extinguisher program and fire suppression systems, scheduling required inspections, coordinating repairs, and maintaining mandated record keeping.
• Perform required drills and maintain evacuation plans.
• Perform fire safety inspections and communicate deficiencies to Facilities Department.
• Produce and maintain records and documents associated with required laws.
• Provide environmental support for campus.
• Coordinate safety training.
• Perform Monthly AED inspections and coordinate repairs.
• Understand and interpret NY State Building Code, NY State Fire Code, NFPA and PESH Regulations.
• Respond to emergency conditions, provide EH&S support at campus events as directed, work flexible hours, including weekend and evening work if necessary.
• This position will be expected to possess written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills essential to work with a diverse population of students and colleagues.

Job Description:
The Office of the Registrar provides quality service and support to students, faculty, administrators, alumni and the external community through timely and accurate handling of enrollment activities and records in accordance with academic policies, professional standards and governmental regulations. The Registrar Student Support Specialist will be responsible to promote student satisfaction and service. The Registrar Student Support Specialist is a proactive member of the Registrar team, providing both oversight and support of day-to-day functions with the ability to resolve issues. This position requires a fully in-person work schedule on our campus and does not qualify for any remote work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the front-line customer service representative to students, faculty, and staff.
• Manage cross registration, reverse transfer, consortiums, and Credit/No Credit applications.
• Respond to and manage owregistrar@oldwestbury.edu email in a professional manner while remaining in compliance with FERPA guidelines.
• Responsible for processing and approving student registrations and withdrawals.
• Represent the Office of the Registrar at the Student Solution Center by providing in person support including resolving registration, financial aid and bursar issues.
• Process graduation applications and assist with TAP processing and audits.
• Responsible for the timely completion of all in-person and online transcript requests fulfilled through Parchment.
• Support, troubleshoot and guide students, advisors, faculty, staff, and other departments within the college.
• Maintain the integrity, accuracy, retention and security of student records.
• Ensure campus-wide compliance with FERPA regulations.
• Assist with managing student workers.
• Assist students with inquiries and issues in-person and via phone while ensuring compliance with FERPA.
• Assist the Associate Registrar in providing leadership in the daily operations of the office and to provide a service-oriented office to students, faculty, staff, external office visitors and agencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $47,261.00 - $50,000.00

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Job Description:
The Office of the Registrar provides quality service and support to students, faculty, administrators, alumni and the external community through timely and accurate handling of enrollment activities and records in accordance with academic policies, professional standards and governmental regulations. The Registrar Student Support Specialist will be responsible to promote student satisfaction and service. The Registrar Student Support Specialist is a proactive member of the Registrar team, providing both oversight and support of day-to-day functions with the ability to resolve issues. This position requires a fully in-person work schedule on our campus and does not qualify for any remote work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the front-line customer service representative to students, faculty, and staff.
• Manage cross registration, reverse transfer, consortiums, and Credit/No Credit applications.
• Respond to and manage owregistrar@oldwestbury.edu email in a professional manner while remaining in compliance with FERPA guidelines.
• Responsible for processing and approving student registrations and withdrawals.
• Represent the Office of the Registrar at the Student Solution Center by providing in person support including resolving registration, financial aid and bursar issues.
• Process graduation applications and assist with TAP processing and audits.
• Responsible for the timely completion of all in-person and online transcript requests fulfilled through Parchment.
• Support, troubleshoot and guide students, advisors, faculty, staff, and other departments within the college.
• Maintain the integrity, accuracy, retention and security of student records.
• Ensure campus-wide compliance with FERPA regulations.
• Assist with managing student workers.
• Assist students with inquiries and issues in-person and via phone while ensuring compliance with FERPA.
• Assist the Associate Registrar in providing leadership in the daily operations of the office and to provide a service-oriented office to students, faculty, staff, external office visitors and agencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $47,261.00 - $50,000.00

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

A First-Year Academic Advisor supports the objectives of the First-Year Experience Program and the engagement, success and retention of first-year students. • Engage in outreach to high-support students.

• Provide workshops on degree-planning and student platforms.

Job Description:
The Director of the Center for Student Leadership and Involvement will provide overall administrative oversight for the Center for Student Leadership and Involvement (CSLI). The Director is a critically important leadership position within Student Affairs and the College. The Director will provide leadership for the development and maintenance of a complex and comprehensive leadership and student activities program and provide expansive leadership opportunities for a diverse student population. This professional will work collaboratively with faculty, staff and various departments and college constituencies to engage students outside of the classroom to enhance the college experience through student engagement, leadership development opportunities and programming to serve the campus community.
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students, the Director of the Center for Student Leadership and Involvement responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive program of student activities and student leadership development.
• Serve as the advisement/administrative representative for the Student Government Association (SGA).
• Oversight of student clubs: registration, event oversight, insurance/risk management, policy development, Student Union space management, operations compliance and assessment.
• Fiscal and programming approval, development and on-site large-scale event oversight - Fraternity and Sorority Life, LGBTQIA, Diversity & Inclusion, Multicultural Center, SGA, Student Clubs/Organizations, L.E.A.D, Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society, Commuter events and late night/weekend events.
• Supervise professional staff members and SGA staff members, including the Business Manager and Operations Manager.
• In accordance with best practices and national standards, design, implement and assess a competitive student leadership recruitment and engagement model, learning based training practices and a curricular based programming model for student leadership development.
• Promote and support the conceptual understanding of the role of Student Affairs in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
• Manage complex budgets and authorize appropriate expenditures.
• Represent CSLI at various campus events, such as open house, admitted student events, and orientation.
• Utilize Engage software system and serve as a main resource for students, faculty and staff.
• Advise the Student Government Association 501(c)3, manage fiscal oversight, which includes contracts, external audits, tax preparation and filings.
• Knowledge of emerging trends and needs in the student population.
• Serve as a member of the Dean of Students Management Team.

The Director of the Center for Student Leadership and Involvement will provide overall administrative oversight for the Center for Student Leadership and Involvement (CSLI). The Director is a critically important leadership position within Student Affairs and the College. The Director will provide leadership for the development and maintenance of a complex and comprehensive leadership and student activities program and provide expansive leadership opportunities for a diverse student population. This professional will work collaboratively with faculty, staff and various departments and college constituencies to engage students outside of the classroom to enhance the college experience through student engagement, leadership development opportunities and programming to serve the campus community.
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students, the Director of the Center for Student Leadership and Involvement responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive program of student activities and student leadership development.
• Serve as the advisement/administrative representative for the Student Government Association (SGA).
• Oversight of student clubs: registration, event oversight, insurance/risk management, policy development, Student Union space management, operations compliance and assessment.
• Fiscal and programming approval, development and on-site large-scale event oversight - Fraternity and Sorority Life, LGBTQIA, Diversity & Inclusion, Multicultural Center, SGA, Student Clubs/Organizations, L.E.A.D, Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society, Commuter events and late night/weekend events.
• Supervise professional staff members and SGA staff members, including the Business Manager and Operations Manager.
• In accordance with best practices and national standards, design, implement and assess a competitive student leadership recruitment and engagement model, learning based training practices and a curricular based programming model for student leadership development.
• Promote and support the conceptual understanding of the role of Student Affairs in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
• Manage complex budgets and authorize appropriate expenditures.
• Represent CSLI at various campus events, such as open house, admitted student events, and orientation.
• Utilize Engage software system and serve as a main resource for students, faculty and staff.

Job Description:
The State University of New York at Old Westbury Auxiliary Service Corporation (ASC) is seeking a creative, energetic, and entrepreneurial Executive Director to provide leadership and strategic vision necessary to accelerate the growth and development of the ASC.
The Auxiliary Service Corporation resides within the division of Business & Finance and reports to the Assistant Vice President for Business Operations who also serves as the President of the ASC at Old Westbury. The Executive Director is an employee of the University. This is a full-time, twelve (12) month, Management Confidential position.
Reporting to the ASC President, the Executive Director (ED) is the Chief Executive Officer of the ASC, a 501 (c) (3) not for profit corporation. The ED primary responsibilities include daily hands-on management of operations and growth of ASC programs and services. ASC programs and operations include Dining Services, the Camp us Bookstore, Atrium Café, Vending, Laundry, ID Card Services among other areas. A significant part of ASC's growth is expected to come from revenue derived from new business developments around the management of special events that occur across the campus. The ASC is a maturing corporation and the ED, in conjunction with the Board, will have the opportunity to shape future ASC policy and direction. The ED works closely with the Board, its President, campus administration, campus constituencies and outside contractors to develop fiscally responsible and successful business activities that generate revenue. The ED must be a creative thinker and problem solver, be able to quickly identify critical ASC needs and recommend innovative and flexible solutions to those needs. Specific duties include:
Administrative:
• Develop and implement all personnel policies, procedures, and practices.
• Responsible for the coordination of personnel practices, including hiring and removal of employees of the ASC.

• Act as fiscal agent for the SUNY Old Westbury Student Government Association.
• Undertake continuous professional development; maintain memberships with state and national auxiliary service organizations.

Leadership and Strategic Planning:
• Implement a strategic plan that addresses the short- and long-term goals of the ASC while aligning with SUNY Old Westbury's strategic plan.

• Provide leadership that is supportive of all employees.
• Responsible for property management, including existing leases with the University.

• Implement a strategic plan that addresses the short- and long-term goals of the ASC while aligning with SUNY Old Westbury's strategic plan.
• Work with the ASC Board of Directors and Vice President for Student Affairs on a continuous basis to ensure SUNY Old Westbury's students, staff and community are supported.

• Responsible for property management, including existing leases with the University.

Job Description:
The Financial Aid Assistant/Scholarship Coordinator provides excellent customer service and support to students, parents, SUNY Old Westbury staff, and the general public regarding financial aid programs and the application processes.
Responsibilities include:
• Provides outstanding customer service as well as support for excellent student experiences;
• Responds to students and parents questions regarding financial aid - in person, phone, and email;
• Assists students and parents with the completion of the FAFSA and TAP forms;
• Reviews the FAFSA and TAP forms to ensure they are complete and accurate;
• Updates and maintains the Old Westbury Financial Aid webpages;
• Reviews Call Center tickets, responds to ticket(s) or forwards to the Advisors when necessary. After responding to ticket(s ), closes the ticket(s);
• Participates in departmental coverage at the Student Success Center;
• Assists with special projects as assigned by the Director and/or Assistant Director.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
• A minimum of an Associate's degree;
• A minimum of two (2) years' experience in higher education;
• Strong communication skills - written, oral, and interpersonal;
• Strong problem solving skills;
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule during peak periods, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree;
• Knowledge of computerized higher education financial aid systems;
• Knowledge of Federal and State financial aid programs;
• Experience processing financial aid using the Ellucian Banner system;
• Experience working with a diverse student population.
