The Team

What you will do:

Serve as a strategic talent partner to the business.
• With your understanding of the business and our opportunities, the Director,People will work with executive leadership on a people strategy that enables success. As a member of the leadership team for the business units you support, you will focus on attracting, developing and retaining our top talent.
• Coach and influence senior leaders on development, engagement and inclusion that can have the potential to create a competitive advantage for the business.
• Facilitate organizational and talent reviews to drive ‘fit for purpose’organizational structure, development, and effectiveness through talent capabilities.

Own and drive People programs for the global organization.

Deliver functional operational excellence.
• As an enabling function responsible for our most significant and costly resource,our people, it is critical that this role looks for and drives operational efficiencies and continuous improvement where we can. • Identify and drive functional improvements and efficiencies that take ‘the friction out of work’ and better enable our business clients to focus their energy on serving our customers.

Required Education, Experience & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related field is required. MBA or equivalent experience is desirable.
• 10-15 years of experience in all aspects of human resources with 5 years of recent experience in an HR Business Partner role, supporting a global, matrixed organization, ideally in a SaaS or Data company connected to telecom.
• Demonstrated experience providing both strategic thought partnership work as well as rolling up your sleeves to drive impact without sophisticated systems or automation.
• Experience as an HR Business Partner for a global business and experience supporting multiple sites and a proud multicultural workforce.
• Experience with HRIS system implementation, people analytics, and global talent management will allow you to make an impact more quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to tackle people-challenges creatively, drive change effectively, and deliver solutions that enable business success.

The position requires the support of a large multi-tenant AWS environment that hosts our big data pipelines, web platform, and data science environments. What will you be doing?
• Work within a team to manage multi-account AWS infrastructure with a large number of services in use
• Collaborate and help lead continuous improvement of our security, cost, and redundancy posture

• Maintain ‘infrastructure as code’ using Terraform

As a Senior Customer Solutions Consultant, your role is responsible for delivering the highest possible level of service to our existing and trial enterprise accounts. Clients will look to you for technical guidance and for advice in addressing their product usage and needs. This position will work directly with our Sales team to grow our commercial client’s portfolio.

What you will be doing...

Communicate the full range of technical capabilities of Opensignal dashboard to commercial clients

Work with existing clients to expand relationships and to secure renewal

Lead key customer relationships throughout their engagement with Opensignal

Advocate for customers with respect to internal Opensignal initiatives

Provide email, web, chat, and phone support to Opensignal customers and partners

Utilize Opensignal's products and tools to investigate data, product, and other issues

Document known solutions to the internal and external knowledge base

Submit well-documented bugs and feature requests arising from customer escalated issues

Partner with engineering teams in prioritizing and resolving customer requests

Job Summary

This contract position will support the fundraising team, led by the Interim Development Director, while we work to hire a full-time Director of Growth. Organizational Background

Open Signal is a growing media arts center based in Portland, Oregon with a commitment to equity and experimentation. Primarily funded through a roughly $2M multi-year grant agreement with The City of Portland since 1981, Open Signal began raising additional funds in earnest for the first time in 2017. Greatest early fundraising success and momentum come from local grants with the addition of a couple of national funders. There is tremendous opportunity for growth. In FY21, Open Signal raised nearly $600,000 through grants, and this contract position will focus on sustaining or growing this funding stream through FY23.
