About the role and you
• As a Product Designer for OS Maps, you will work closely with the Product Managers, User Experience/Member Engagement Lead, and Developers to ensure everything that we build is useful and valuable and usable
• You are constantly striving to improve. Testing your ideas with customers is an important part of the way you validate and refine your designs
• You are comfortable taking mobile app and responsive web designs from discovery to delivery

About the role

As a Senior Data Engineer joining Ordnance Survey’s Data Capture and Engineering team, you will provide leadership and expertise in developing new techniques, tools and pipelines. You will transform and manipulate geospatial data into forms suitable for visualisation, analysis and further development with your Agile team.

Researching and utilising ground-breaking technologies to automate and simplify processes, is all part of the role. A technical leader in one of our development teams, the primary focus of your day-to-day activities will be data manipulation and delivering data pipelines to aid development. Your leadership will guide other engineers to successful delivery outcomes.

What we’re looking for

• A degree level qualification in a quantitative subject area or significant experience in a relevant field, such as statistical modelling or mathematics
