Responsibilities:
• Designing and implementing a data governance framework that covers all aspects of data management across the organization.

• Promote a data-driven culture across the organization, working with business stakeholders to educate on the importance of data governance and stewardship.

Qualifications:
Knowledge & Experience

• Experience in designing and implementing data governance programs, including data quality, metadata management, and data classification.
• Demonstratable understanding of the data maturity assessment and appraisal process.
• Implementation Experience of Business Glossaries, data dictionaries, Data Quality solutions, data catalogues, lineage, Master data, and metadata management.
Formal Education & Certification
• Degree or equivalent experience in a related field, ideally computer science, information management, or business administration
• 5-7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
• Data Governance or Data Management professional certifications would be beneficial.
• Experience in the legal industry, professional services or other highly regulated industry is a plus.

Orrick currently has an opportunity for a Project Assistant in the Global Operations & Innovation Center ("GOIC") in our Wheeling, WV office preferably and consideration given for 100% remote US locations.
Responsibilities: As a Project Assistant you will perform administrative and technical functions to support our legal teams and clients. Your duties may include:
Primary responsibility for organizing matter and transaction materials, supporting a primary practice area, and providing overflow support for additional practices.
Collaborating with firm resources to select appropriate case management systems and tools based on case team and client needs.
Building and maintaining folder structures for new clients and matters.
Maintaining system security and access rights for case teams, clients, professionals, and other third parties.
Following firm and case team guidelines to organize, name and code matter and transaction documents
Reviewing materials and organizing in appropriate matter folders.
Maintaining and improving firm experience and knowledge management systems by tracking matter and transaction data
Completing projects related to matter and transaction materials, including preparing chronologies, organizing materials for attorney preparation, coordinating signature pages, hyperlinking documents, and PDF support.
Performing administrative functions necessary to keep case team organized.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent work experience is required. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved training program is also preferred.
Applicants must demonstrate skill in the following areas:
Accuracy, attention to detail, and good interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time-management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently.
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Ability to work effectively and dedicatedly within a team environment.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and database systems.
2-5 years of experience in a Law Firm or Professional Services environment is preferred.
